I would like to see this without the grip safety as another available option. Maybe in the future? Having said that,I purchased one for the wife when it was first introduced and I like it.

Not my cuppa, but I can see the target market for it.

I was originally skeptical of this handgun. After thinking about it and watching a few reviews, I am in. I like it.

I know there isn't a "need" out there but I want to see a few more options for larger capacity (more than 10) double-stack 380 handguns... There's like 2 or 3 options maybe.....

In the same config as my shield 45 and I'm in.
Not like this though. It just looks like a complex mess of safeties and widgets and what the fuck.

Looks like an excellent gun for my GF. Might need to get one...

Not your grandma's M&P, oh wait yes it is. women and old folks (over 75) are the only people that might need this gun and even thats a stretch. I did see a 5 year old at the gun shop and he was able to rack it.

Looks like a fun mid size plinker, I'll take one, sounds like it should not sell out, nice!

I see more people complaining about a pistol's form and function despite the fact that it is clearly not targeted toward them. This is a gun made for people who can't even rack the slide / work the trigger / load the mag on a standard pistol without difficulty due to grip strength because of age, injury, stature, etc.. I certainly won't be rushing out the buy this gun, but it's actually not a terrible idea that a major gun manufacturer is trying to make self-defense feasible for people who would otherwise not be able to comfortably load, carry, and fire a handgun without a lot of trouble.

This isn't your pistol, he-man, so you can't stop complaining about it and move along. It's like all the folks who were yapping about how the Glock 19X is a "backward-dimensioned" carry gun despite the fact that it was never designed to be a carry gun in the first place.

Thank You sir! So tired of the bitchin all the time.

Revolver. No racking required. Answer to a question no-one is asking. Proper grip and forward pressure is the key to the rack, not trying to pull it straight back. Technique and training or wheelgun; problem solved.

^^^^^^This here is the stupid we just can't fix^^^^^^^

One of the few people who have common sense on here. People say the dumbest things and complain about everything. Ive never seen a gun I didn't like the more the better for all gun lovers.

A grip safety for people with grip strength issues? That’s a ridiculous and dangerous solution.

Grip safeties don't take much at all to push in and dont affect the actual grip on the gun. You Probably should know more before making rediculous comments!

I would suspect that the engineers felt it was necessary due to the significant internal changes that were made to make the gun easier to operate. Plus this doesn't have the hinged trigger safety that the regular M&Ps all have. Regardless, this gun (according to what I've read online) has an internal hammer instead of the regular striker / sear setup. Because of that, I'm assuming that they felt the grip safety was a prudent add-on to what is essentially a single action pistol.

The grip safety appears hinged at the bottom instead of the top (a la 1911 and XD) so it should be pretty much impossible to hold the gun in a manner that allows you to pull the trigger without deactivating the grip safety. Either way, if you don't like it, don't buy one.

There seems to be a lot more in 380 and I wondered if it was making a comeback but the lower recoil probably is a good point.

Well then they need to toss the grip safety for all the frail old people.

A solution for a non-existent problem. A larger than "usual" .380 with a frigging grip safety?
