G10 grips, night sights standard, TWO magazines (6 and 7), textured front strap, and ambi safety. You aren't getting that in a P238 or Kimber Micro for $519 and this is the first one out of the gate.

For those looking at .380, ammoquest did a very detailed review of .380 in 2" barreled pistols. In the end there are a couple of decent ones but the Fiocchi Extrema HP penetrated to FBI spec repeatedly.

For those knocking a .380... In the VERY hot south, summertime leaves you with pocket carry as about the only option to not sweat profusely. This one weighs a little less than the Kimber and good bit less than the Sig. I'll be trying this and if it outdoes my little Kimber (which I love), It'll take over as primary summer carry.

I think it looks great, if it performs well then whatever I guess. Hopefully it can run self defense rounds reliably. I have the p238 and like it a lot. Although it’ll probably have problems out of the gate just like the sig.

Literally every one of the comments before this one are right on the money. You guys are good.

There is a place for a .380 but it needs to be small, light and dependable to really take advantage of this soft shooting round. I think the Glock 42 is the best incarnation but the Ruger LCP 2 is good, too.

Springfield makes a good pistol, and being made of aluminum I'm sure it's relatively lightweight. Not going to knock the price too much as it has some premium extras. They just aren't the things I want/need on a pocket gun.
