How do you know it's not AR500 steel? I can't find anything in the listing indicating it is mild steel. That said, if these are NOT AR500 steel, this is HIGHLY deceptive advertising and borderline in terms of advertising legality and should be flagged and removed. Obviously if AR500, all is good.
These targets are AR500 steel, that guy has just been cancerous in all of the comment sections.
Uh, read the ad- does it say it *is* AR500 steel? No. Go to their website, not a single mention of AR500 steel. The brand is AR500 _ARMOR_).
And finally- look at the price? Other vendors charge 2,3x for AR500- because it is damn hard to cut. All the AR500 sellers talk about how they use laser, or (rarely) water cutting to prevent AR500 steel from breaking at the edges. This is just plain ole' steel.
This is not ar500 steel, clever brand names aside.
I just bought an 1/2 inch thick 8 inch gong. We will see how it does.
AR500 Armor® does not not equal abrasion resistant 500... I agree with the previous comments. Play on words, don't waste your money. I would typically feel bad if I was wrong, but here... they should at least make an effort to say either: abrasion resistant or hardened steel... But instead they are listing buzz words and avoiding talking about the actual product. Too many nopes.
