The site is called "gun deals", not "gun retail". If every dealer starts posing retail priced products this site will become worthless.
Isn't this list price? No discount or tooling offered... I would love to have one of these, but the price tag plus having to buy a "compatable router" adds another 100 or so bones to the whole deal. Guess I should have bought a compact router to replace my full size just to have one...
Hey, look at this "new" deal! Seems like I've seen this somewhere before.
Ordered mine on 04/30/18 still no shipping confirmation
Coupon code or sale would be much appreciated
Quit advertising your crap as "new" and as a deal.
Looking forward to mine. Ordered one yesterday.
Have one of these. Superb. As good or better better results than my factory milled lowers. So glad I bought this. TIP: With all metal milling clamp your work down solid and resonance free. Vice bolted to concrete or heavy steel bolted to concrete. Any vibrations will show up in the mill work.
Is there any upgrade kit to go from an original 5D jig (love BTW) to multiplatform?
A bit pricey. Can get the easy jig for $180 on brownells right now after discounts. You might have priced yourself out. Give a 20% discount and I'll order right now.
How does this compare to the easy jig?
Haven't used an easy jig but I have used the first generation 5D Tactical jig to complete 4 or 5 lower receivers. The only problem I had was the collet coming loose on the router and the end mill banging around the trigger pocket. They've fixed that issue with the second generation design... the end mill threads where the collet would be, so there's no way that the end mill will come loose during operation.
I went ahead and ordered the second generation one due to this design change because I believe this to be the very best the market has to offer.
YMMV
Hey Hunter 311 I'm fixing to get into trying to drill my first 80% lower out do you have any thoughts or tips for me on what drill bits I should buy what other tools I'm going to need everything in that nature
Not Hunter, but buy the tooling that is designed for this jig to make it easy. Also, decide if you are going to work on AR-10 or just 9/15, because they do make a cheaper model for just the smaller calibers.
List price is not a deal!
