The fine print says maximum 2 submissions per household. Regardless of extending it. I made 1 order of 500 and 1 of 1000, based on the fine print I have exhausted my households 2 submissions. In order to get the whole rebate you would have had to order 4000 rounds in 1 order before original deadline and then another 4000 now.

Edit: Are you sure? I don't see any mention of a two submission limit on the updated form here: http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/Rebates/FP1417_AE5.56and223promo_web_f.pdf...

Generally, I guess you want to sit on the rebate form until the end for these sorts of rebates unless you've maxed it out so you only make 1 submission. Of course that also means you're more likely to forget or misplace things by the end if you bought early on in the rebate window.

I haven't sent in my submission from the original rebate yet. I bought my qualifying ammo near the end of the rebate period. I probably will do it in a few days though so I don't forget or lose it.

Good luck to anyone who can decipher the updated rebate form. It says in larger print on the form: "Purchase a minimum of 100 and up to 8,000 rounds of Federal American Eagle FMJ/ball ammunition (223 Rem. and 5.56x45mm 55 grain or 62 grain) and receive $.05 off per round. Max rebate of $400 per household." That's double the prior rebate.

However, in the fine print it says both, "Maximum of a $200 rebate per household" and "Maximum rebate of $400 per household".

So, which is it?
