If you don't mind the rail and the weight this is a good deal. I actually just traded my 716 as the rail and weight were deal killers. It was a pretty gun and built like a tank but it was WAY to heavy with a quality optic attached. Not to mention super uncomfortable with trying to use with bipod attached. I traded it for a Galil ace in 308 and the difference is night and day!!! One of the better trades I've done. I will definitely be picking up the 716 G2 once I get rid of a couple more guns and they come down a bit. I love the new DMR version as well but the price tag is to high... On a side note these will continue to drop in price as they are discontinued. I think u can pick up the new 516 version for about $1,650 from a few places if you do a search for sig 516g2 on this site. To bad you can't swap the handgaurd on this with the new one. Only option is the lantec carbon fiber handguards and I'm not a fan. Plus they are $275 but I'm sure those will be dropping in price as well.
Like the user below said . This is a tank of a rifle . I didn't keep mine but I used it enough to know that it's a quality and accurate rifle . Sig just needs to redo the rail . This is a good price .
