I've purchased five "kits" from outdoorsports, along with 10 orders of other parts. I encountered two problems over all these purchases, both concerning ejection port dust covers. I had one that the ball was installed improperly and stuck out too far, on another one that had the American flag laser engraved, the flag was barely legible. In both cases I emailed them and received a reply the next day informing me that replacements were on the way. I've had NO problems with the FCG other than the springs are stiffer than I like and I upgraded those as usual. I have a side-charging 7.62x39 kit on the way scheduled for delivery on Monday, got it for $339 with a $10 off promo code, so $329. Bought a blem Matrix lower receiver for $65 including transfer so $394 for a complete AR in x39.

This even includes the Lower Parts Kit and Backup Sights. This is a killer deal for a budget AR build.

$299.99 is the lowest I've seen for a rifle kit minus lower. PSA sometimes runs them at this price. A while back I picked up one from them and used a $30 lower for a complete rifle cost of $330. After that achievement, I stopped budget builds.

Ceratac has a carbine kit (no lower) for $239.99. I don't work for either company, but I've built 3 rifles from Outdoor Sports and all had quality issues that required me to upgrade parts to get the rifles to function (mostly in the fire control groups). No support from Outdoor Sports. I've built 7 rifles through Ceratac now, and I've had a minor issue with one of them and Ceratac resolved it.

Just my input from someone who's spent money on both, I'd skip the Outdoor Sports offerings.

Lower receiver not included according to the website linked. Not worth it.

How on earth is it not worth it? Lowers are $50 on a bad day. $350 ar is a damn good deal.

A stripped Anderson lower is $30, making your entire rifle $330. You getting them cheaper? Edit that...the Ceratac carbine kit is $240, and you can still get a lower for $30 to $35 if you shop hard enough. So less than $300 for your build.
