Damn this thread has some great info.

Is this a good gun to get the this price?

It is a great gun! Worst thing about this (and most Sar pistols) is that aftermarket support is mostly non-existent and CDNN stole one of the magazines. Gun shoots very well and has 800+ trouble free rounds through it.

Does appear that CDNN is taking magazines out of these kits again. Make darn sure you have a source for magazines. This is a dandy shooter, but the plastic mags are highly proprietary and nothing else works.

Cool gun to buy if you like supporting countries ran by radical Islamic dictators who hate the west

The Walther is a great gun for the money and manufactured in a country that Is a real NATO ally as compared to the Islamic dictatorship now developing in Turkey.

Really have enjoyed the Sargun. Probably have ~600rds through it and have not had any hints of a problem. Frustratingly, it shoots much better than my Gen5 Glock 19. If this had any hint of an aftermarket, it would definitely be a hit but it is hard to find anything for it. Would definitely recommend for a bedside or range gun.

Also install a 6 lbs trigger spring while at it.

If you want your Glock 19 to shoot amazing, then install a GHOST - EVO ELITE CONNECTOR, some fitting will be required but well worth the effort

It should work out of the box.

What mags does this gun use , compatibility wise ? Thanks in advance.

This would be a good deal, but CDNN always rips off it customers by only including one (1) of the two (2) magazines that come standard with most of the pistols that it sells. It resells the second magazine. Well, here we go again with the SARGUN. Why do this when customers know how many mags are supplied with the pistol. Not a good practice, especially when we're informed consumers. Doing this just to hit a competitive price point? Not good.

I own several sar and witness. All came with one mag and were advertised as such.

They came with one mag back when EAA was swiping one mag out of the kits. However, they actually come with two mags from Sarsilmaz and TR Imports now ships them with two magazines no matter what SKU the dealer tries to use. If the firearm comes stamped by TR Imports it came to the dealer with two mags. That included the Sarguns TR Imports shipped in 2017. TR Imports has shipped SAR product to CDNN this year because there are already comments in blogs where they expressed frustration with CDNN pulling the extra mag while using their SKU numbers.

Email CDNN before you spend a cent and ask if this is old EAA stock or if your firearm comes from TR Imports. TR Imports firearms do not have EAA SKUs unless the dealer is up to no good and is pulling a fast one. Keep your email response and if the firearm arrives with just one mag and is marked by TR Imports you know what to do.

Another alternative is to wait for UTAS & SARs to get SARS USA up and running in the coming weeks. You should not have to exercise this kind of scrutiny over any gun dealer.

This one (SKU#: EAA400459) only comes with one mag.

If the kit is really that SKU (old EAA stock) and did not come from TR Imports that is correct. However if the firearm arrives stamped by TR Imports then it came with two mags and the SKU is being phonied up.

It's not a Clone of anything just another quality Striker fired gun with a descent trigger. Sarsilmaz makes good guns I own many and have shot most of them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this...

I see SAR guns all the time. I like Sar but seem to have a principle issue I just can't let go. EAA no longer imports SAR. So when parts are gone good luck with your respected firearm. Anyone else have a distributor that I don't know that can support these long term?

I have a Sar cm9 gen 2 and sar USA did warrenty claim on my rear site. Since I live in Illinois they gave me the option to either mail me the part or I can bring the gun in and have them fix it besides mailing the gun to them.

UTAS and SARS have supposedly set up an agreement for the new SARS USA which was already supposed to be distributing firearms in the U.S.A. Unfortunately the horn blowing was loud and the delivery was poor. SARS has purchased advertising to the new SARS 9 in the States but has not gotten this distribution thing going as of yet.

If they screw this up I'd say SARs won't be able to peddle hot dogs in the USA. If they get it together then there is supposed to be parts, support, warranty service and supplies of firearms in country.

Eagle Imports and they have warranties just like most out of country firearms.

I must have misunderstood you. I had asked if anyone knew of a distributer who stood behind SAR as EAA was no longer importing. Contacted Eagle who tells me they have nothing to do with Sarsilmaz. Rereading your post I guess you were really recommending buying their guns because they support Bersa etc.

TR Imports also does some of Sars Importing.

Well Eagle Imports does import good guns mainly the METRO ARMS line is what I like but I was thinking wrong I've been dealing with distributors for a ling time I sometimes get them mixed up since there are hundreds. Im not saying I'm 100% but you could check Tristar and Tetonka. Otherwise any dealer that sells Sar would have to be responsible to have a place to send them. Its a manufacturer requirement...

This would be great. Have sent a email to Eagle checking on . Thanks for the reply . Never would have found on my own. Also asked about Zastava as Century says they don't sell these guns and have no parts. That's where the Zastava came from. Try finding parts for them is impossible. BOTH are great guns.

UTAS-USA is the Importer for Sarsilmaz. Sorry for the wrong info but I'm 100% sure on this one I just looked it up in our distributor log.

You get a GOLD star. Thank you. Got a email back from UTAS-USA.COM. Phone 876-768-1011. They tell me that they hope to be up and running by the end of the year with SAR. Maybe September. They have become the SAR distributor . Scratch EAA?. They will handle sales and service as a legit distributor. So we do have a recourse. Since you pulled the rabbit out of the hat how about Zastava? Do this one and you go to platinum ! You took time to do this so Thank you , again.

For $300 shipped, this looks tempting instead of another SD9VE. Is there any reason not to?

@ Livinitup1976
You can order up to 5 handguns or 5 long guns per the one $20 shipping charge. CDNN has always shipped out my orders the next day and offers extended phone hours.

Some random guy made a decent review of the gun on YouTube two weeks ago. Really short trigger pull and short reset. He said he got 5.5lb pull but all the weight is in the wall.

If this is a P99 clone like it appears, the trigger is very likely as good as the PPQ. Both of my P99's are every bit as good as the PPQ.
