If these guys go back to selling these at 350 again then I would pick one up.
if you can wear out a gun. it probably time to replace another
the chassis and slide are SS. the trigger on mine wasn't the best but overall I'm happy with the gun. Already changed out the black components (safety, beavertail, main spring housing, and slide lock) to all ss parts. Looks really nice. It's snowing today but will get out this week and see how it shoots.
are these actual stainless steel or just steel with nickel or chrome coating?
Keep in mind that Classic Firearms currently has this cheaper ($420 shipped) but it is the model with the rail. You don't get the $20ish holster, but do you really want it anyway? Personally, I would want to pick my own. So, in short, 40 bucks cheaper elsewhere and you get a rail version of the gun instead of the cheap holster.
Are these stainless metal Or silver finish? cause I know some of those imported guns from turkey just have a grey paintjob.
The fit and finish are unmatched...built to NATO specs!
If this is a fairly standard 1911 parts will be plentiful from a multitude of vendors.
We don't know what parts are which. Not worth gambling with my money, but let me know how it works out with yours.
Now that Zenith has dropped importing and support for these firearms with no replacement importer, where the heck are you going to get any parts in the future, Turkey?
I think this is indeed a concern. What happens if there is an issue? With a comparably priced Phillipine gun (Rock Island by Armscor for example) you don't have to worry about warranty issues. With this gun, not so much. Still a good gun, but concerned about warranty.
I can make this gun a sweet shooter with some trigger mod and other easy fixes. Already have on my previous Zig M's. I'd give anything (within reason) to see Zenith produce a "long slide" version. 1911 with 6 inch barrel.
Fit and finish are great. Finish is nicer than the typical Phillipine parkerized steel guns (which have been great guns). Reminds me of my Kimber Customs. Good trigger and very accurate shooting. However the two that I bought (Fullsize and commander) both had failures to feed(battery) out of the box so they had to go in for warranty work. Repair was easy and quick and they have been flawless shooters after they came back....The warranty work was basically a free gunsmith tune up and ramp/throat/barrel job so that is even better...Sooooo...if you don't mind the chance of having to send it in out of the box, these are very good for the price.
