Whittaker Guns has not had them at that price for a few weeks.They went up to $339 & have not come back down.I was bummed when they sold out & I did not pull the trigger.Im hoping it was old stock vs new stock pricing & not that they just wanted to make a few extra bucks b/c of the rebate.i had to order from PSA for $339 free shipping

Whittaker Guns, they have all the "regular" shield models at $299 on and off. Including the 45 versions. They ship in 24 hours usually but charge 15.95. You finger two day air. I ordered from outdoor super store first but they had not shipped almost a week later so I ordered when I saw the deal at Whittaker and canceled my order with super store. I've ordered from Whittaker before. They also have lay away which is nice on higherend items...

Picked my up yesterday from FFL and took it out today. Ran perfect. Great gun, ran flawless and does not feel like I though it would. Was very shoot-able, in fact I put 150 rounds through it no problem. I paid $314.95 out the door shipped from Whitaker. After rebate $224. That is crazy. Not sure why you would not pick one up if you had he money and need a quality daily carry. Only a couple minor challenges. Extended mag tough to get last couple rounds in but should loosen and wish they added the new texturing to the mag release as well. Oh, and I don't like the extended mag for daily summer carry. Other than that it's a beautiful little gun. Great sites, surprisingly accurate, soft recoil, solid trigger, awesome new grip, and ran without a hiccup. I ran everything through it from steel to quality brass. Oh and there are two great IWB holsters on Amazon for under $37 shipped. I Have the 9mm version as well and have no idea how they fit the 45 round in so seemlessly. It's almost exact same size as the 9. Little longer and maybe a 1mm wider. I also have a Springfield sub compact single stack 45 which I love and this one is better all around in IMHO...

I personally wouldn't get the .45 shield right now. the .45 is having some teething issues like the .40 did when it first came out. Slide lock backs and mag drops reported on the forums. Personally I'd wait on the .45 till another year when the teething issues have been worked out. The 9mm is pretty much stable as can be though.

Fiscal year ends in late April. Not sure if that is what he means or what...

Might as well wait 2 days and save another $75 with the rebate.
