Excellent AR.

If you are not into paying big money for frou-frou boutique ARs, but still want absolute reliability and quality this is a great option.

If I already didn't have more than a couple, I would pick this up for myself. All it needs is a drop in rail, decent stock, drop in trigger, and an optic. Or, nothing at all if you want to go old school.

Absolutely. And I'd add that those who are looking for a semi-auto AR-15 that's as close as possible to a genuine "Mil-Spec" M4 (absent the "giggle-switch" of course), this rifle (like the Colt 6920) is likely the closest option out there, (at least without having pay twice the cost plus the $200 extra to go through the hassle and wait-time of the NFA process to acquire a 14.5" barrelled rifle).

Especially considering that this is produced by the very same company that manufactures the actual M4's and M16-A4's for the military. $799 is a great deal.

The rifle alone for $869 is a really good deal price wise cause rarely does one see FN's for under $900.
The Sig Sauer Romeo 5 that comes free with this deal is generally a $125 optic.

The FN and Colt are closest to real mil spec and both high quality. If I didn't have a Colt i'd look at FNs.

For $779 this is a solid deal.

94 pounds......16" HEAVY barrel. Must be 16" diameter.

FN makes some great looking guns and the barrels of course are quality being that they have Army contracts

It's hard for me to justify almost $800 for a civilian M4. The 94 lb weight must explain the price difference for a mil spec M4 - unless that's a typo in the description.

I have many FN products and they are normally a bit pricey but solid and unique in their design. This, however, doesn't seem like much of a deal for a mil spec M4...

Yep I'd get the colt 6920 or 6721 instead. This one has a soso barrel, and no mention on the bcg, it isn't staked either

I'm finding prices have gone up in the last few months on AR's. Not going to get much better on a quality rifle anymore
