Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes fora handgun that will put its shots where you want 'em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. There are also other grip materials available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!

Great shooter for the money. I got mine with the 4.75" barrel from a local shop for $119 with only the .22LR cylinder. Came with an order form to get the mag cylinder for another $29.99 from the factory. Several place had them for $99 back on Black Friday. It's got a funky transfer bar safety to the left of the hammer, which takes a bit getting used to.
It shoots well, is plenty accurate at 50ft, and has a better fit and finish than I would expect from a gun at this price. No, it's not a Colt or a Ruger Single Six, but it's less than half the price. The metal is strong enough to hold up to .22LR/.22Mag shooting for years and years and years (so long as aren't stupid enough to put it in an 800 degree fahrenheit oven.)
Don't recommend Heritage anymore, ever since they stopped selling parts for their guns on website months ago.
DON'T PUT IT IN THE OVEN...

fwiw, I have one of these and it's a great little pistol. Reminds me of the Ruger Single Six I learned to shoot with many years ago. The ejector is the only thing I've had a problem with, and it wasn't anything a little workbench time didn't cure. These were $149 about 2 years ago, but it seems they're tough to find. Took me forever to find a bird's head....
These are really fun and very acaccurate.
