I was showing this to somebody and their comment causes alarm. They said "that looks like a toy gun." There is concern here with law enforcement and the all to common instances of them being faced by children with toy guns. For that matter an armed citizen and anyone carrying what looks like a toy gun. In those 2-3 seconds can anyone determine which is which?

Not only does it look like a toy gun, it reminds me of one of those dummy/fake guns used for training purposes. I just think it is a stupid color. I really do wish I knew how Ruger was going about choosing the color for some of their handguns. They were peddling the Shimmer Gold cerakote on the slides for a while. Gold? Really? I'm not a pimp. I don't need a gold, purple or yellow handgun. There are ton of cool colors that don't make the gun look like a toy, but are still appealing.

That's as ugly as a turd in a pickle jar. My God who'd want a bright yellow "hey look at me" sidearm....if someone pulled that out on me I'd probably die laughing first. .. almost as ugly as the hundred dollars bill wrapped hi point... (ALMOST) LOL

You say that but women always complain that guns only come in limited colors. Taurus is going to make a killing with that new pocket gun that comes in a billion colors because gun gals will want one to go with every outfit.

Jbdive, my thoughts exactly. The point of concealment isn't to carry a firearm that is glowing through your clothes like a solar flare. To each his/her own, but these gun manufacturers are so out of touch with the pink, purple, neon, color nonsense. I love ruger and own about 10 different models including this sr9c, but looking at this makes me think this is something RuPaul would carry as an accessory to his/her wardrobe

I like colors but the whole idea of buying a conceal carry weapon that you can see from two miles away is absurd. My current carry is in Black/FDE, I find the colors complement each other, break up the straight black which in turn may make it less likely to be seen as a weapon by the public.

Pink Camo is an example of a fun color for say a kids rifle given to a daughter (10/22). That said is anyone going to go trying to conceal carry a pink rifle?

Some of the Ruger, and others, blue/green camo splash colors could also aid in disguising a gun when worn of in a handbag but these bright ass colors on a weapon designed to be conceal carried to me make no sense at all. Seems Taurus, Ruger and Sccy have all talked to the same marketing firm.

The person who runs Ruger's color scheme department needs to be fired. They have too many stupid colors.
