I have tactical sniper version of this gun in 7.62x54R. This is heavy gun for 7.62x39mm. Barrel is 23.2 inches. Mine with lighter furniture is pushing 10 pounds. With POSP 8x42mm scope it is 12 pounds rifle. They are functional but not very accurate. You would be lucky to get 1 inch at 100 yards even with S&B or PPU match ammo. Triggers are know to be bad on this guns. I have tapco G2 3lb (came with the rifle) and has lots of creep. If you want accurate gun buy 5.56x45mm 18 inch medium weight SS barrel or 308 savage (or similar) with heavy barrel. I Only gun I would buy in 7.62x39mm is AK47 with 16 inch barrel.
You can make a nice looking draganov with the metal.
Its a heavier variant about 10- 12 lbs with a 30 round mag.slant cut reciever/ theres more furniture options with straight cut. 23 inch barrel is overkill the 7.62x39 doesnt really gain much speed from longer barrels.double stack mags im doubtful.
Will these take double stack mags without modification? Also like to know what the general consensus in on these, it this a good deal? 23 inch chrome lined RPK style, I might be interested. How about furniture options, lots available or a pain in the butt?
