Jig is shit. Use a 5d tactical jig for this. I made 2 lowers in under an hour that work perfect.

That's great advice if you're making aluminum lowers. For people making poly lowers, the price of that 5d jig alone negates using poly and disposable jigs. You're essentially telling people buying a discounted Toyota Camry that they need to put Formula 1 tires on it because the stock tires aren't that great.

I'm not saying this to be rude. I just think people need to see this route of DIY lower for what it is. If you're going to have to buy a $270 jig to make poly lowers, why not just buy an ar15 mold kit?

Thanks for your service.

Not rude at all man. I completely understand what your saying. Didn't look at it from that point of view. I have the 5d jig and have done many aluminum and poly on it just easier. But gotcha!

I’m planning on getting a 5D Tactical or Easy Jig 2 for aluminum lowers but was curious about how well these poly lowers turn out? Lower speeds?

FYI *I received my order and the jig states that it should not be reused
*the bits are only good for polymer
*the buffer tube assembly is not included

Has anyone purchased this item? Is the made for a one time use or can it be used on several lowers? Is the jig designed to be used with polymer lowers only ? Can it be used to finish aluminum lowers. I need more info.

Sorry I'm new to this, after this I would just need to complete the lower and then need a completed upper and that's all?
