Yah, but they were highly rationed, right?
4boxes, most stores are limiting amounts you can purchase right now.
4boxes max. Most stores are limit controlled anymore right now so what is the difference.
Folks like to point out how "gougers" are posting ridiculous prices by bringing up "used to be", "should be", and "I saw this for less locally". Well, things aren't what they used to be or should be, and any local deals are rationed so it's not a fair comparison to someone providing an option to buy lots of ammo now at the high price. It's nice to have options even if none are pretty. If you didn't stock up when times were good and need ammo now you can:
-Try to place a backorder and wait weeks at places selling it for closer to pre 2020 prices.
-Troll local shops in hopes of buying a lucky rationed box at a good price when a truck happens to come in.
-Pay a high price to get it now, like this ad offers
Nobody who is buying 1,000 rounds right now really needs it. Yeah, I said it. This is ludicrous panic buying, and the only way out is for people to stop being crazy, and paying these prices.
A message from those that brought you
“No one needs an AR15”
No, not at all. My point is, the people buying this don't need 1,000 rounds of ammo right now. They want it. They have a right to buy as much as they want. But the problem is, everyone is convinced they "need" it right now, THEY HAVE TO HAVE IT. That's why prices are so high. I just checked and I have about 940 rounds of 7.62x39mm on hand right now. Would I be picking up another case of 500 if prices were good right now? You bet, because ammo doesn't go bad and I like a good deal. Do I *need* to buy ammo right now? No. Hell, if society crumbles and the shooting starts, I'm plenty good. How much ammo do you think you can carry on your person anyway?
I've seen cases and cases of ammo at my local gun shop. It can sit there until people become sane again.
I think this price is ridiculous , however after looking at the price on Midway USA ( $849) today its a steal right now.
That's like saying getting kicked in one testicle is a great deal because the other option is getting kicked in both testicles.
I just paid $430 at my local lgs last week for the same deal. Don’t do it let the prices come down.
You just did what your telling others not to do? 430 is ridiculous for 1k or 7.62x39. Thats double what it was 12 months ago.
Dont pay these prices folks. Paying these prices only keeps prices high. Let the demand fall!
I miss $199 for 1k rds too!
Reading past comments makes me sad with nostalgia
SRF code doesn't work. I've bought this 1,000 rounds deal for $199 with L6V
Wow- 7.62x39 has really dropped in price- I sold my AK and all of my ammo and I was getting $300/1000rds for my Tula this past summer.
Well, you paid way too much. Prices have been sub $240 for years. SG Ammo has 1k at around $180 now.
If you don't mind then paying for membership fee, taxes, and one I've never heard or seen, taxes on your shipping charges. Plus, since we are talking ammo here, none of their codes ever apply to ammo. I've tried their trial memberships 3xs and have never really saved that much. My brother has been a member for 7 years and has not renewed his membership because I've finally convinced him he can get better deals elsewhere the vast majority of the time. And I believe he was saying he was selling his Tula for $300/1000, not buying it.
You’re thinking of Sportsman’s Guide. Check out SGAmmo.com ... Excellent site for bulk ammo in virtually any caliber.
Definitely not a deal. Go to SG Ammo.
I got it for $220 shipped to NJ with the L6F code! I didn't have to add any extra item and no tax.
Yeah I found out the same when I went all the way through the checkout process. Good deal and 4% back on active junky now.
Went to Rural King today and guy asked what Ammo they had at counter. 223 Tulammo $4.99 a box. $14.99 at Vance, Lol, why, we are suckers of retail stores.
