recoil / main spring assembly will crack on you after a short number of rounds, maybe 200. I replaced my factory spring capture cup and bushing twice, then I got the kimber spring assembly, you will have to do some dremel work to make it fit, but pretty ez. It has lasted over 400 rounds, but still have brass that lands on my forehead. I will try a new ejector, or try and re-profile my existing one some.

I'm not quite sure if they've fixed the spring assembly, but if they haven't, you definitely want to buy a Kimber ultra spring assembly for this to help with some FTF issues. I also swapped out the ejector to try and minimize the amount of brass hitting my forehead after firing, and bought some better mags to shoot with. I bought this gun expecting to have to put some work into it, and after a few bucks it runs great. Very accurate for the size and fun to shoot. Also, take the whole thing apart top to bottom and clean it if you get one. Mine looked like it was dipped in leftover sludge from the basement of a waffle house.

While these are definitely not competition quality 1911's, they are fine home defense, range weapons. They are finicky with magazines. I'd advise using only high quality mags, not cheap ones to avoid feeding issues. They do also get better after a good break in period too. At this price it's a decent buy
