Good price for the type of helmet, I believe MSRP is usually close to $300.

These are intended for law enforcement or military who use them primarily as a point to mount night vision devices when there is no need for a 3-4lb ballistic helmet. They aren't so concerned about bumping their heads getting out of vehicles, but thanks once again for the dumb ass comments

Yes, I can see lots of military or law enforcement shelling out 175 dollars of their personal money for a 'practice' equipment so they can swap their gear back and forth between their operational armor and their Fisher price stuff. Makes perfect sense . Thanks again for all the worthless posts that are off topic and no one wants. Surprised you didn't stamp “Mexico” on it, do a 5000 dollar ‘cutaway,’ and call this a highly priced collector’s item while insulting your core customer base.

BTW, I am selling a nonfunctional car for only 5,000 dollars. It isn't a "lemon" per se but something taxi drivers can practice loading and unloading luggage with in their driveway while they aren't on duty.

Agencies buy these and yes many individuals buy them as well, when you work in the public safety sector for a living and have to run around with a helmet for extended periods of time the weight on your neck of a ballistic helmet takes its toll. The Ops-Core retention system and other sought after features which normally cost upwards of $200 and are always sold out everywhere make the $175 a smoking deal to anyone who knows what these are.

The cutaways and rare stamped Colts all got sold as they are Colt factory produced items making them highly collectible.

WooHoo2You: You are definitely not our core customer base, stick to Hi-Points and Tec-9s, what we sell isn't for you

When I was in the Army we had an expression; train like you fight and fight like you train. We did not use plastic guns, fake helmets, etc. Sorry to hear so many ‘agencies’ are wasting money on double equipment inventories (real and pretend) and are missing opportunities to actually train those in harm’s way with full weight items that actually improve strength, endurance, and prepare them for real world scenarios. Hell, I would hate to keep up with, check proper fitment, move mounted items, back and forth between two sets of gear. Seems like a real pain to me. I guess it is not your fault you are meeting a demand even if it should not exist.

I like the low blow at the end regarding the Hi-Points and Tec-9s, really shows your true colors. I actually do not own either but I heard they actually are a good defensive product unlike the above item.

BTW, if those Colts are so ‘collectible’ why must you spam them so frequently? Seems strange ;)

I really do not understand how they think a "bump" cap is worth more than 25 dollars even if it is modeled after an actual ballistic helmet. You would be better off buying a surplus Swiss steel helmet from WW2 for 19.99 and get superior all around protection from bumps, bruises, and bullets. The only thing this helmet protects you from is STDs being you are sure to remain a virgin ;)
