Description

The Shadow Hawk lineup is a unique blending of the Craftsmen at Nighthawk Custom, and the optional electronic sight option from Trijicon. Attention to detail starts with the one piece machined steel magwell/mainspring housing for quick and sure reloading of the Shadow Hawks. You will notice the chiseled look and feel of the black flat faced trigger preferred by competition shooters. Your hands will quickly note the high undercut on the trigger guard along with 25 LPI checkering on the front strap. The high beaver tail will amaze you with the almost seamless fit and finish. Nighthawk spiral-cut black and gray grips add a subtle highlight to the black nitrite finish and stainless bushing. The cocking serrations are not just for looks but provide a sure purchase to rack the slide. Finely leaving nothing to chance we have beveled and recessed the slide stop to allow for the addition of Crimson Trace Laser Grips if desired.

The Shadow Hawk with the RMR option is a modern twist on the personal defense system in service for over 100 years. We urge you to try the red dot sight and make up your own mind about this new twist on sighting. Once you try it, you will understand the benefits of this technology.

it is a good gun if you can afford it. Too much to spend on one gun

The reason a gun like this costs more, is becuase of the custom build factor. If they custom built cars, they would be much higher than assembly line productions. The customer builds all come from the same block of metal. Are they any better than many of the high end guns like H&K, CZs, etc.? Does it really matter?

All I am hearing are a bunch of poor slobs that can't afford a high end weapon and have to rag on it to make themselves feel better.

There is a difference between 'can't afford' and 'not needing'. I can 'afford' a $100,000-$200,000 car. But my Buick Enclave will do just fine. But since you have a lot of cash yourself, why don't you buy a few of these guys you are referring to one. Since I have way too many guns, I will pass.

I can afford one. Would never buy one though.

The value just isn't there for me. I would rather keep $3k in the bank than spend it on a pistol I wouldn't shoot much. I have plenty of solid shooters. I have a few high dollar firearms, but my best 1911 is a Springer TRP.

I just hope whoever buys one of these shoots the shit out of it.

And LOLz at the comments here. Got a good laugh....from the lovers and the haters.

Guys, be realistic please.
While I cannot fathom spending $3200 on a pistol, that doesn't mean it's not worth it to someone.

This is not a mass-produced gun. I am sure that someone buys these, else they wouldn't be made. While *I* cannot see myself paying more than $500 for any 9mm handgun, and certainly not a 1911 in 9mm even if I wanted a 1911, someone out there will appreciate this deal. Let's not crap all over it because we like inexpensive guns. Just because YOU don't see the value, doesn't mean there isn't value there.

I wonder how much profit they make on one of these sold? I wonder how many they sell?

Considering the time and man hours put into a custom build, not as much as you think.

Over 50% profit easily....which is huge outside pharmaceuticals and the healthcare industry.

Shit state? Watch out now...most manufacturers are in that state. Also home of Fort Bragg (Special Forces) not Fort brag about overpriced guns. EDIT: NVM HE LIVES IN ALASKA

Nighthawk, Ed Brown and Wilson Combat make the finest hand crafted and fitted guns in the world. You can't compare this to a polymer gun like the shield. It's like comparing a Toyota to a Mercedes.

If you need your fix of hilarious and racist rants, this is the place to be! Can someone make a comment about being able to buy this gun with food stamps?

Toyota to a Mercedes? So an affordable last forever low maintenance reliable gun compared to an overpriced NAZI war wagon that will die sooner and cost more during ownership, GREAT ANALOGY!

I agree. I bought my son a Toyota Land Cruiser in 2011 (2010 model) for about $58K the same time my wife's best friend inherited a $135K one-year-old Mercedes. The Toyota has 207K miles and is still going strong. Besides regular maintenance and tires, he has spent $0 on it. The Mercedes, on the other hand, was having troubles all its life. Transmission, steering, tires, 3 ECMs (the main problem in the first place), and engine lights that would light up a Christmas tree. She decided to dump it before the warranty ran out.

$3k for a 9 rnd. 9mm ?......get a Shield for 90% less same capacity. Ha, ha, ha

Pure ignorance. Most pea brains as yourself see a 9mm and that's it. It's like saying a toyota Corolla is the same as a Chevrolet Corvette, now that's just stupid. You don't understand what goes into this gun as opposed to a cheap plastic shield. This isn't really a gum that you would order online either, it has to be seen and held to understand. Your shield is a mass produced turd that would probably melt if you left it in your car on a hot sunny day. If you know how to read more than numbers you would find out that this is a very fine handgun built to the highest standards. You should stick to what you know, polymer garbage guns and hi-point. Another non educated nigger that sees a price they could never afford so they bash. Eat a dick sir, eat a dick.

its a POS get over yourself.. just because you can "afford" one as you put doesnt make it worth a hogs balls...

and yes it is just hyped up junk...

I'm sure you are the expert when it comes to hog balls. Spoken like a true trailer park nigger. Just because you can't buy it at Wal-Mart doesn't mean it's junk. Now go grab your hi point, put it in your mouth and pull the trigger.

I am surprised that guy didn't compare this to a Hi-Point. They both shoot 9mm? The Ford Focus and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat both run on gasoline. And both seat 5 passengers. But the Hellcat costs 3-4 X more!!! What a rip-off!!!

I fell in love the first time I saw this gun. But I can't justify spending that much cash on one pistol.

If I was going to spend this kind of money on a 9mm 1911, I think it would be a Wilson EDC X9. But I wouldn't kick this beauty out of bed.

AND the hooker better clean the crumbs out of the bed too. Nice guns, but yeah, unless I was an actual operator lurking in the shadows, instead of just lurking on Gun.Deals, I'd have no reason to justify the price.

Not sure an actual operator would grab one of these. I'm sure they are great shooters and very fine craftsmanship, but high-end 1911's with tight tolerances are NOT what you would want to take into combat.

This pistol better come with hookers, cheetos, and about $2300 cash.

YOU FORGOT THE DR. PEPPER! Yea, you can build quite an arsenal for $3200. Just can't see myself putting this kind of cash behind one gun. I am sure someone will though...

Dogshit1-Compared to what? Your knowledgeable comments? Cry, cry, cry. That is all you do. Poor baby! You steal other people's material worse than Carlos Mencia! What does a job have to do with anything? It is usually the ones who needs a job or has a poor paying job who suggest that others 'get a job'. Isn't it you who lives in his mother's basement in the shit state of North Carolina???

I wish I could afford one of these incredible and fantastic looking pistols! One of the officers I worked with is now a Catholic priest, but when he was a police officer he had a huge collection of 1911 government models, most of which were no less expensive than $3000 and hand fitted. You will never forget the crisp triggers on a pistol of this quality after firing one. The closest I've come to owning a high end government model is the Kimber Tactical Custom II I bought while assigned to detectives. It is an excellent gun, but still not the same as a gun that takes the time and effort to build like one of these.
