I had no problems redeeming the Golden Sabre rebate from Remington last year. Read all the directions, filled out the form, taped 10 UPC bar codes to a copy of proof of purchase and sent it off. Received check in mail some weeks later (about 4-6 weeks if I remember correctly). No photocopies, return receipt, etc... just made damn sure everything they asked for was there and filled out 100% correct and mailed it well before the postmark cutoff deadline.

On another note... I had a rebate rejected on a Canik TP9SA last year because even though my purchase date was within the rebate timeframe, due to slow shipping of the firearm (it took Classic an entire week to ship after receiving my payment...) I didn't have the serial number to complete the form until after the deadline passed. They rejected the rebate because the postmark date was a few days after the deadline for submissions. Even though I wrote a note along with the original purchase receipt (which was dated about 10 days before the end of the rebate), stating that from the receipt it was very clear that the firearm was purchased within the rebate timeframe, however due to shipping, I was unable to obtain the serial number until about 3 days after the deadline passed, the penny counters at Century rejected it anyway.

It wasn't a huge rebate....I think only $15, but it would have canceled the shipping I had to pay on the purchase. To be honest I was more upset at classic for taking an entire week to ship than I was at century for not honoring the rebate when it was a little late. It would have been a nice gesture on their part to accept it, but the fact is it was postmarked a few days after the deadline and they had their legal out and used it...that's pretty much what I'd expect of any company.

Bottom line, triple check every single piece of a rebate before you send it off and be careful if you are purchasing with only a short time left before the end of the rebate, slow shipping could F**k you over.

if you gonna buy this, then make sure that you:-
1. make photocopies of all that you are sending, that include taking picture of all UPC codes laid out in one group, so that if remington so conveniently 'lose' them you will still be able to show that you did buy the said number of the ammo boxes on which you are claiming rebate.
2. mail all the rebate to remington using certified mail with return receipt requested or priority mail, so that you have confirmation that they have received it.
3. Keep calling them to make sure that they have received your mail.
4. In the event remington tell you that they have not received it, prepare to fax it to them, which if you do not have fax will cost you some money. REMEMBER THAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT EMAIL.
5. You may have to call them like 15 times to make sure that remington did receive your fax.

Once you get a confirmation from them that they have go all that, now you can sit back and ask yourself a question if all that trouble worth 20/-, you saved in this rebate.
And yes I had to do all that to get a rebate from remington this past December.

I want to thank everyone for the warning about the rebate problems. Taking a big old pass on this one.

Just like everyone else describes, Remigton rebates suck! After sending it in with regular mail and checking online, status shows as not received. You think the mail man's dog is eating that many letters? I call BS. It has been like 9 months since I sent the stuff in to no avail. If you ask me, Remington? Never again! Not a penny of mine for ammo or arms.

You only save 20/- dollars, but then you have to spend 6/- to send the stuff via certified mail with signature requested service, in order to keep record of it, and then spend more time in calls to remington to see if they got all that. In the event they did not get it you have to mail all the stuff again or have to fax it. and then more calls to remington...... All that just to save $20/-... thanx but no thanx.

I didn't have any problem when I did winchester shotgun shells rebate back in december. It was a pain to cut all the UPC's but was worth the money i saved. I bought special subsonic low recoil 12 gauge shells. For this remington rebate, I'm really only saving $20 (since I can usually buy some brass 9mm for $200 shipped/case....so this one is not worth the time). Especially cutting upc's off of every box.

I availed myself of the Remington mail-in-rebate last December, but it was a nightmarish experience. After a wait of two months I was told that they have not received it. I was asked to send them a copy of what i had originally sent them. I luckily had a copy of the receipt, and of the rebate form, that I was asked to fax it to them, but they would not accept email. So I had to pay to have it faxed twice, since they claimed not to have received it the first time. Finally in March of this year I was told that they got all that and that now I have to wait. In all I had to spend money to mail them the stuff back in December, then pay money twice to fax it to them, then call them like 15 times and speak to number of people. In the end I got the rebate but it was not easy.

I had my rebate messed up, emailed them and they requested my copy by email. Took 4 months to get my money. I'm waiting on a $200.00 one, at least they say they have it, it's been processed, but check will still not come for another month. $10/box rebate was great, but it was sent in back April. 3 months to get my money is ridiculous.

I also did the "Black Friday" rebates that were offered. What I did when I sent those in, is took a picture on my phone of all items I am mailing in. Then I sent it with Delivery Confirmation. So that way if they claimed that they did not receive it, I would have proof that they did. Got both checks a few months later.

Watch your azz with Remington mail-in rebates. Be sure to keep copies of anything they want you to send them, and have a phone number you can call when they fail to reimburse you.

yup, their rebates are hit or miss. I've sent if for 2 or 3, and only gotten 1 check. They suck

I kind of cheated and sent in rebates in 4 peoples names. They were all legit purchases, but the limit kept me from claiming them myself. 2 were processed correct, the other 2 were processed at $2 instead of $12. Don't know how , with a handfull of upc's , they could give me credit for 1? And they did it wrong twice on two separate submissions.

I have a friend who swears by this ammo so I tried it. Yes, it is dirty. So dirty it reminds me of eastern European ammo. However, it goes bang every time and at this price with free shipping it can't be beat. Just clean your gun thoroughly after shooting.
