Palmetto State Armory is proud to announce the 1911 Pistol line with our PSA Stainless Two-tone 1911. Not your basic 1911, this model comes loaded with features found on higher priced models: Front and rear slide serations, a skeletonized trigger, Combat hammer, beaver tail grip safety, extended thumb safety, and high visibility 3 dot sights. While a production gun, the crisp trigger, and close tolerances give the look and feel of a hand fitted pistol, while retaining the reliability of a production weapon.
We start with a matte finish stainless steel frame, and add a forged 4140 steel slide, blued for durability. The stainless steel barrel is hand fitted for high reliability and solid lockup. The skeletonized trigger has an adjustable stop, and the thumb and grip safeties are extended for easier use.
From its polished sides to its subdued branding, the PSA Stainless Two-tone1911 delivers the value Palmetto State Armory customers have come to expect.

It sucks that it costs as much as a non blem kimber custom II and looks almost identical. I honestly love psa but I wouldn’t buy this over a kimber at the same price.

Kimber makes a far, far, far better pistol than PSA. Not to denigrate PSA’s 1911’s but they aren’t even in the same ball park as the Philippine Rock Island Armory’s (which will surprise some people with some pretty good quality 1911’s for those on a budget).

What you do have going for you with PSA is that they will give you a lifetime warranty which means you may have to ship it back 3 or 4 times to get the pistol running the way you want it to if it doesn’t work straight out of the box unless you like to tinker. Then you can turn it into a “learn how to become a 1911 armorer project” by replacing most pieces on the gun so that it becomes your own custom creation.

The majority of Kimber’s I’ve owned over the last 10 years worked really, really well. Are they as good as my Dan Wesson’s or Les Baer’s? No, but Kimbers make very good pistols for those that want a commercial, mass produced 1911 that’s of high quality. .

I would Kimber makes un reliable junk! I have personal experience and know others that have as well. Read reviews. They make many guns that run great but I'm telling you for the price they make a hell of a lot of bad ones too.

JPo (aka Surfboy007) bought one for the old lady and swears by it. That and SW Sport 2 5.56.

Ugly gun. Three thoughts: lose the red grips and replace with black. Lower price! Add front strap checkering. Hell even Taurus does that.

I ordered one not long ago, and i can tell you this- alongside my ruger SR1911 and my Taurus PT1911, this is by far the second best. I shot about 50 rounds through it, and it didn't even hiccup. I attribute the reliability to the fact that this gun is a milled Kimber. PSA and Kimber joined up on this as a side project to see if kimber needs to out their name on a milled 1911 rather than a forged 1911 as they have. The result is this firearm at a more affordable price, with a fantastic company such as PSA/Kimber producing it. I shot several 5 shot groups at 10 yards within 4", and i have to say it's more accurate than I am! Cheers, happy shooting!

This is one of the dumbest lies on this board. Is this place run by basement dwelling millenials with no jobs?

Kimber makes crap guns from crap materials.

Bama4ever96 is known for his ignorantism. He would post bullshit like this totally made up sentence... "Glocks and Springfield XDMs all use the same internal parts".

I have the Kimber. No way would I pay the same price for this gun. Love the Kimber.

Finally shot it today. Had a few light primer strikes and no bang to start. I immediately feared the worst and figured it would be shipped back for repair. After a few more attempts it finally functioned. Not sure if it was cold frog lube or something else, but it was flawless from there and out. For $599 there are better options including the two tone kimber at psa right now. If I could do it all over again, I would pass

Who cares? At $600 for an unproven pistol that appears more of a side project from PSA than a full production run, it's not worth even if it was all made here in the US. PSA customer service and parts availability is rather lacking.

Get a Ruger SR1911 with a lifetime warranty, or even a RIA on sale.

I got sick of waiting for a review so I went ahead and ordered 1. I love psa, and I was hoping to find a diamond in the rough. Unfortunately, I'm pretty disappointed. I can say if I would have payed $799 I would be furious but in this case the $599 is probably a fair price. I am no 1911 expert but I do have around 9 and I can give you my opinions on this one. The fit and finish just isn't very good. The slide to frame is poor although the action is fairly smooth. The barrel and frame feed ramp do not appear promising but I will with hold judgement until I shoot it. The front sight appears to be installed crooked but will wait to shoot until further judgement. The gun comes with no front strap checkering, 1 mec-gar mag and a nice case. There are internal tooling/machine and what appears to be human gouges inside of the slide and frame. The exterior of the pistol is fairly clean especially considering it is supposed to be a blemished model . I will say it's not a particularly attractive firearm, but I can't really put my finger on it. The trigger breaks between 4.5-5.5 and is not my favorite. The oversized safety is a nice touch. I will withhold complete judgment until I shoot it but if I would have saw this in store, even at $599 I would probably pass. I'm guessing that is why the reviews aren't out there

Supposedly all American parts assembled on site. They are aiming at springfield/sig quality wise. Can someone please buy one and let me know?

I have a informational email into Palmetto, not sure if I will hear anything. Does anyone know where these parts are made and by whom? Are they assembled in house then? At this price, they are starting to look attractive
