I bought a returned this magnifier; the magnification was not worth the drop in clarity / usability. Imagine aiming through a cloudy paper towel roll.

Academy does not ship ammunition to 13 different States. I know for a fact that not every city in each of those states has ammunition restrictions because I live in one of those states. Thumbs down my comment all day if you must but the facts are the facts and any company that black balls its country that way is unamerican.

There is probably a city or county within that state which Academy does not want to risk shipping to accidentally and creating a very expensive legal "misunderstanding" with the local government. For example I believe that NJ has special restrictions on "pistol ammunition" and there are quite a few companies that will not ship ANY 22-long-RIFLE ammo to the entire state as it can be used in many pistols even if it is officially a "rifle" caliber. These days you have 5.56 pistols and 9mm rifles and everywhere in between so a company like Academy who ships from many individual stores might feel the need to be really careful where they have COUNTLESS people using UPS terminals across the nation that could, in theory, make a mistake due to lack of attention or training.

For a non-“they’re taking our guns” example: I work in HVAC wholesale, my company a few months ago made the decision to NOT ship anything “hazardous” via any method that MIGHT end up on an airplane; (UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc). Batteries / anything containing batteries, thermostats containing mercury, anything compressed or aerosol, many chemicals, etc will only be shipped MOTOR FREIGHT which is extremely expensive. My company will literally pay pallet prices for a 1LB box to avoid a shipping clerk making a $10,000 mistake (fine) by having a lithium battery end up on a plane without the proper sticker on the box.

No conspiracy, if they won’t ship to 13 states that means they DO ship to 37 others.

I totally agree. I wouldn't chance it either. When states start going left (aka full retard) that isn't private buisness's problem. It's not a company's duty to chance legal or financial ruin to ship product to cities or states that can't limit their local governments reign on their constitutional rights.

Vote them out, move, or reap what you sow.

Stay away from academy. They are anti gun. Why support a company with your money that is in favor of taking away your 2nd amendment right?

And so is Walmart and they have also forced almost every one of their suppliers to ship jobs to mexico and asia to meet their ever lowering margin demands or they will simply pull the products from their shelves if the supplier refuses (either send you jobs overseas or shut down basically).....who wants to bet you are in line at Walmart right now for BlackFriday waiting for your $12 DVD player? Keep on fighting the good fight....

Not a bad red dot for the money, but be sure to stock up on the little AG5 batteries. This thing eats them like Tic Tacs.
