Most of everything now aday are made in China. If this was made here domestically, it would costs twice as much for the same quality, yes I said it same quality but double in price. Smart buyers would choose wisely. There excellent products that made in the USA but you have to pay. Also, there are plenty of pos made in the USA stuffs that you paid double if not triple the price but as bad if not worse than made else where.

'same quality'...if you're lucky. American pride is not what is used to be.

So I ended up purchasing this knife from amazon not sure if from this seller. The spring was really tight and I had to send it back to Gerber for an exchange. Overall it’s a decent knife for the price, the design looks and feels pretty cool.

I had this knife for almost 2 years and I lost it recently. I want to get another one, but some reviews say that this seller sold factory seconds. Anybody had any experience?

Most likely made in china, guessing it's marked on the clip side but how strange the blade is folded so you can't see the marking. Then again Amazon does not allowed spring assisted knives, so I reported it ;)

I know this is an old comment, but, just so folks know, this kind of assisted spring opening is not illegal or in any way a violation of Amazon TOS. The tension holding the knife blade closed must be manually overcome by the user before the spring engages and helps propel the blade open. It's an assisted opening, not an automatic opening via a push button. It's the same mechanism used by just about every knife maker out there.

That said, be careful because in some areas any knife with any kind of AO is considered illegal. Plus, many cops don't really know the knife laws and will arrest you based on what they think the knife laws are. Then you either pay the citation or fight it out in court and you've probably lost your knife anyway. And don't forget that carrying a knife as a weapon is illegal lots of places whereas carrying a knife as a tool is fine. Know your local knife laws.

Had mine almost 2 years, it's an ok knife. You have to sharpen it periodically.

Warning: do not get the baby version, it always accidentaly pop open.
