Yes, everything points to this thing being a Mosquito. That said... as bad as the Mosquito reviews tend to be, there is nothing inherently wrong with the design (outside the heavy trigger). The example in my possession has been pretty reliable even with bulk-pack, certainly good enough for relatively frustration-free plinking. I suspect that QC has been a bit lax, and many have noted that small things like polishing the feed ramps often fixes problem guns.

Rimfire cartridges never do well in pistols. Save 'm for rifles or revolvers.

Many autoloaders (Ruger and Browning, for example) do surprisingly well even with cheap bulk-pack. With better ammo, they seem to function about as well as anything.

I took a chance on the Mosquito in 2012. It went through about 50 fails over 1400 rounds in 8 months. At that point the sear became damaged and I sent it for warranty repair thru Sig and my FFL. I only paid shipping ($20 or so) and it's been fine since (I've since put 350 more rounds in).

My problem was finding the right ammo for it. I shoot mostly Winchester SuperX high velocity and here and there CCI Mini Mags and Remington Golden Bullets... It did NOT function for Fereral bulk (red box) or Remington Thunderbolt.

I put some Aguila Super Maximum hyper velocity in it and it was awesome (that's probably what broke my sear). So I don't do that any more ha.

I enjoy my mosquito it is certainly "broken in" and I don't have any problems now. I use it at the end of my range sessions after I'm worn out from shooting my 45s and 40s. My wife and her friends prefer the skeeto overall.

Complete junk.

I have ran across three SIG Mosquitos and all were jam o'matics with every brand of ammo. SIG should be embarrassed to have put their name on this product.

I've owned 2 of them and they are exactly what the reviews make them out to be and SIG even admitted it to me that they have been a huge fail. If I can stop one pour soul from going through what I've been through its good.

I own the Sig Mosquito and I have shot approx. 1000 rounds and I have had less than 10 ftf, fte or stove pipes. My gun is not altered or polished. Don't believe everything you read or watch on YouTube. I have been shooting Thunderbolts and Golden Bullets

This is the Mosquito... Don't waste your money.

This looks like the same exact thing as a Sig Mosquito.
