Description

KeyMod system integrated in the SLiM RAIL (Slim Lightweight Modular). KeyMod is a recoil resistant, two-part, direct attachment method for accessories that offers outstanding return-to-zero when accessories are removed and reinstalled. SLiM RAIL 15.0 offers weight savings as well as cooling, ergonomics and modularity while maintaining strength and durability. The 15 inch rail gives operators the option to have the support hand extended out close to the muzzle allowing them to drive the gun more precisely and prevents over travel when transitioning between multiple targets. An uninterrupted picatinny rail on top and KeyMod attachment at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, ensures plenty of real estate for optics and accessories and allows for maximum sight radius for accurate shooting with rail mounted iron sights. Equipped with a free-floating, cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrel, newly designed Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip with DD improved flash suppressor.

Hahaha. I was just looking at the Barret as well. Much, much better gun and only $200 more. Plus it's 6.8... I am trying to talk myself into it but I bet they come down a couple more hundred... Plus I need to stay away from AR's as they are an expensive habit...

Ummm not sure if totally agree. I would not pay $1200 either as you can get so much more for the same money. But $600 no way. Your not getting a hammer forged barrel, the foregrip, and quality "mil spec" components, plus cerekoting for $600... Not to mention a lifetime warranty. I would pick this up for $800-$900 all day long and add some of the components you did mention. To your point I can't believe this has a mil spec trigger... This will shoot sub MOA but it's a bit over priced and your paying 20% for the name... I just picked up a Headdown PV13 for $950 from tombstone tact.. Now if this DD was equipped similar to that it would be worth the $1200..... I also picked up a Windham Weaponry diamondhead 300 blkout last month for $660. The point I'm trying to make is at this point in time it makes much more sense to just keep your eye out for a good deal and buy one rather then piece something together. There are so many great deals right now on AR's doesn't make sense to build them anymore. Unless it's for hobby. Much better resell with complete matched AR's as well. Heck I've seen S&W (AR15) mp II's going for $499 this week. Get that and drop a Cnc trigger plus Rhaptor charging handle in it and you have a great gun for $700...... Just my 2 cents..

Exact same thing for 600, NO. Same function yes. I'm shopping thru some of the high end stuff because it is hard to match price on a build. This DD just pretends to be the high end stuff by slapping a price tag and finish on it. My buddy that grabbed a DD at the local store is now realizing he really didn't get anything that matched the price. There's a Barrett rec7 gen 2 for $200 more that someone posted up here that I'm reading up on now. It's packed full of features to actually make a premium product. You're right, at 8 or 900 this would be priced right.

Really what's in this rifle to fetch a price like that? I can build that for $600. At $1266 I can build with some great stuff. All the spec are that of a basic rifle. Add another grand before DD gives you some upgrades. I guess it would go well with some $500 sunglasses.

Can you build one for me? I've got $600.

That requires a license I don't have but you can build your own, stupid simple machine. This site right here you can find great deals on every run of the mill mil-spec part in that thing. At 1266 you could have a killer stainless barrel, lightened bolt with fancy coating, drop in trigger, a muzzle brake instead of a flash suppressor, ambi safety, bad lever and a fancy charge handle.
