I still can't believe people were spending that much... That was insane
I remember being at a gun show as a youngster and watching someone buy a Ruger 10/22 mag for $120 something in a stapled together package. We had 3 30 round "banana" mags for our 10/22 and I remember thinking "how in the world are those worth $120"? By the way, That would be over $200 in 2016 money.
After the events of December, 2012 EVERY Mall Ninja in America decided that they absolutely had to have an AR or a standard capacity mag no matter the price... Then they dressed them up like a Barbie doll only to show off to their dumbass friends, shoot it twice, then put it away in the closet
I will be the first to admit that I own more AR platforms than I will ever need. I hunt with one and I long range plink another. I built a couple more besides those just to give myself something to do in the winter and to see how cheaply I could make one. Then I bought a couple more complete builds at ridiculously low prices because I foresee profit opportunity. I actually use 3 out of the 8 I own. I might be a mall ninja.........Although I don't really know what that means. I don't know of any malls that sell AR's.
A "Mall Ninja" would be one of those kids who ABSOLUTLEY had to buy an AR after SH happened.. They went out with no knowledge of the firearm itself and paid a ridicoulous amount of money for it. They would then proceed to dress it up like a Barbie Doll (Only after buying premium parts) only to shoot it once or twice, but still keeps it in their closet so they can try and impress their buddies. They also consider themselves "Tactical Operators" and will go on and on about how they needed to buy an Eotech because "Only the best will do when their life is on the line"
Remember when 30 round mags were banned? I do, maybe these will be worth $100 a piece again.
