In most kydex holsters, makers mold straight to the shape of the gun, this includes the slide release, safety etc. By recessing this area we are able to create a smoother draw and re-holster. This also reduces the amount of holster wear on your gun. Our holsters are made from Boltaron thermoplastic, a similar plastic to Kydex. Boltaron is abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, and extremely durable. Boltaron out performs Kydex T, the material most thermoplastic holsters are made from, in impact resistance, hardness, and keeps its shape better than Kydex T in high heat situations. Our cant is adjustable from 0 to 15 degrees, simply use the hex key provided with your holster to loosen the screw on the belt loop and adjust. Thanks. That's is a great explanation. You need to talk to alien gear. They say the boltaron is better, but fail to explain how. Maybe they can pay you to school them on the benefits of using boltaron so they can answer inquiries just like you did. I have nothing against boltaron. I carry daily with a cloak tuck 3.0. It's the most comfortable holster I've ever owned.

If you leave a Kydex holster in a hot car, it can loose its retention and "flatten out." Boltaron holds its shape.

I purchased one of these from Amazon and they are very well made. The retention is great with an audible click sound when you insert your firearm. I just wish that the belt clip had the ability to be worn with a tucked in shirt. Other than that its perfect and it's the best holster I own for my shield. Support your veterans!
