Nice price, but $24.08 shipping kills the deal.

Great little gun. If I didn't already have three I'd be in for another. Gen2 made huge improvement in trigger design. I've taken mine apart and polished all of the contact surfaces to make them even better. Had problems with two but ruger costumer service was excellent.
Ruger made a commitment to sell 2 million guns this year. I hear dealers already have a zillion lcps in inventory, and I bet they cost less than $40 to make. Seems logical to use the lcp as a last minute boost for sales numbers. Good news for all of us.

Anyone know shipping cost? I'd love a SS slide LCP at this price !

bought one for $199 free ship- all blue. It's a cheap gub, comes with a 'factory' Italian mecgar mag, so it works .btw gub is from 'take the money and run'.

Its crazy to think i paid 270 or 280 for this gun 5 years ago, and at the time it was a pretty screamin deal.

But now, even @ 200 bucks i probably wouldnt buy it. Well i dont know, maybe, but man this thing is a real PITA to shoot.

I changed my grip & this thing is MUCH easier to shoot.

Put a small piece of grip tape on the front of the trigger guard & grip tape on the grip. Put your index finger of your support hand on the trigger guard & it shoots much softer. Jerry Miculek recommends this grip despite the fact many will ridicule you for doing it. IT WORKS!

Looks like quite a bargain buy to me. I've already got the Taurus TCP as a pocket pistol, and it it great, but I do like Ruger quality and backing. At this price I'm in for one and I'll make an honest comparison of the two.

Ruger is desperate, their earnings report was the worse in years. They are trying anything to remain solvent at this point. It appears that all of these Gun Company's did the same thing when they were behind the curve last time.
They over invested too late, and the market softened. Now like Colt, and Smith years ago, they are trying to bail water.

Total bullshit. Where did you get your financial analytical skills? You must be ignorant and certainly shouldn't be making the comments you posted. Ruger is totally solvent and they are a solid profitable company. Check out the SEC filings if you can find them and even know what they are. You probably don't know the difference between a balance sheet and income statement. You certainly don't know what elements compose a good balance sheet. This may be the most solid company out there in the industry. They are very profitable with no long term debt and with a high net worth. They could hunker down and outlast nearly everyone in any downturn. Please do not comment on things you have no knowledge of since you do a great disservice to all of us while looking personally stupid in the process.

Thank you for your comment. I think they over anticipated the accessories market. You're buying a system. Ruger mags aren't cheap, even aftermarket.

Reverse Scenario: Glock sells expensive model, but accessories are quite reasonable...

Does anyone have any ideas on the sudden price drops? This model sold for 299-329 quite recently. I get the feeling they are dumping inventory and Ruger is going to introduce a new model at Shot Show. I'm guessing a striker fired model with a trigger safety... I'd be interested in all opinions.

Yep. A "K" prefix model number means stainless for Ruger, no matter if talking revolver or semi-auto.

Kastainless kaslide. At least that's the best explanation I can find on the internet.
