If you put your ear to the slide you can actually hear Sting's Desert Rose ever so faintly
I bought the Tungsten version 3 days ago. Traded it today back to the same gun shop for a regular G19. That coating messes with the tollerances, maybe not enough to really make the gun malfunction but enough for me to not be happy with it. But, the price is decent so the deal is fine. Just thought I'd share my experience.
So from experience you don't recommend a slide cerakoted Glock?
From my experience with that one gun I would not. Ymmv.
Surprised to see a G19 in stock somewhere! I'm holding out for the FDE cerakote version. I have yet to see that in stock since I made the decision to purchase. Hell I can't even seem to find black G19's these days.
FDE Cerakote's in stock here: http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/168870... Saw an email this weekend with them on sale.
Didn't see that, thanks! I've ordered from them before, too.
A few weeks ago I had an email conversation with Tombstone Tactical and this is what he said with regard to the model numbers:
The PG version is made in Austria and only the slide is cerakoted.
The UG version is made in the US and the whole gun is cerakoted.
He recommended the PG version because only the slide is cerakoted (the frame is already FDE, so should match the cerakote on the slide). I was hoping to find a PG model but I may go for this one.
Here's an example of the PG: https://www.tombstonetactical.com/catalog/glock/pg-19502-04d-19-gen-4-pistol-9mm-4in-15rd-full-fde/...
Are you kidding me?!?! You could lose that thing in the desert.jk of course.
Beautiful gun, but need MOS m'lady
UGH, another plastic glock pos. Save your money and buy a real gun.
