Just some feedback on the kit for those who are considering it.
First, the prices are not accurate. A mil-spec BCG shouldn't be $120. LPK seems a bit high too.
While it's nice that it doesn't have the A2 front sight post/gasblock, and a free-float rail, consider that it's a quad rail and they aren't nice on the hands.
Also, no optic or sights at all. But sights and stripped lower seem to be all that's missing. I don't see a trigger guard in the lower parts kit, so make sure you get a lower that has a trigger guard. Overall, otherwise, it seems like a nice price for what you get.

Would you happen to know what pound trigger it would have been? I'm thinking about getting a CMC trigger assembly 3lbflat trigger. Just wondering if I needed to do so.

Some friends and I assembled one last night, nice kit with one exception, the trigger would not fit in the lower??? We all tried, no way no how was that trigger going in, wouldn't fit in our other build either? I had another trigger and we were able to compete the build. Nice kit all considered.

Sure is I paid $586 for the parts kit for my first build a couple years ago. It had some Magpul upgrades but no case or magazine. Usually it's extra for the quad rail and a name brand DMPS parts kit is nice too.

Is this a good deal for a first time AR build?

Yeah, best I've seen in a while.
