People say you risk shooting yourself with how it releases. I have one and that's ridiculous. On every holster i have my index finger runs down in safe ready position along the pistol. You would have pretty dumb to lose control of your finger and have it curl into the trigger hard enough to pull it. At least on mine, it takes so little effort to press the release that i accidentally release it when practicing my draw just putting my hand on my gun, yet holds well and trust it won't fall or be snatched out
