had a couple back in the late 80s or very early 90s when they first came out, well before military started to use em. I had em on a 12ga slug gun and when they worked it was great, esp at night out on kill permit, but never had 1 survive much beyond a case of 12ga slugs. rumor has it that they have increased in quality and survivability since tho...

I guess I have never really have seen the need for a civilian to drop over $500 on an optic like this. I always get a kick out of it when I'm at the range and some 20 year old kid is next to me with an AR all dressed up like a Barbie doll.. Some people have over $1,200 in accessories just to shoot paper. It's kind of silly to me
Personally, I think Aimpoint is WAY overated
