ruger cheaped out on the base materials and made a cheap nonmilspec rifle that's bottom of the barrel.

FN made a clone of what they sell to the US government and built it to the same standard. That said, 1400 is extremely high for a bone stock general issue carbine.

550ish seems to be the sweet spot for a "deal" on this rifle.. 640 isnt even in the ballpark.
