The Sig Sauer P238 Campaign Series is an exceptionally concealable semi-auto pistol, chambered in 380 ACP that operates with remarkable reliability. The 238 Campaign Series features a stainless steel slide and alloy frame with a custom distressed finish. Textured G10 grip panels and a checkered front strap provide a secure hold. Sig P238 pistols are modeled on a M1911, single-action design with an ambidextrous thumb safety. The skeletonized hammer recesses into the beavertail section of the frame to protect it when carrying the weapon on safe, and to avoid hammer-bite while firing. Slide serrations enhance your ability to pull the slide back for loading and clearing the action. The pistol operates with a locked-breech, short recoil action which locks the action closed, resulting in a slide that is much easier to rack than blowback-action pistols chambered in 380 ACP due to a reduced recoil spring weight.
