This is evergreen advice and applies to anything purchased anywhere today. Amazon/eBay or brick & mortar.
Sadly a lot of manufacturers are going to the route of "replace it if bad" as opposed to "check it before it leaves the factory" to save a percentage point or two.
Bought one of these a while ago and have loved it on one of my AR pistols. Super accurate and holds zero after removal and reinstall superbly.
If you read the Amazon reviews, there's a significant %age of these that are delivered NFG & require returning within Amazon's 30-day guarantee window. [Apparently, Sellmark Corp. saves money by eliminating the QC step in the Chin Alpha production facility, & leaves it up to the end user to verify proper function...] So don't buy this & stick it in the drawer for your next range visit, test it out RIGHT AWAY & then use Amazon's free return if it doesn't measure up...
