Ordered this scope and it was delivered today, perfect condition. If by some chance there was an issue....I would've just called Vortex for a new one as they have an unconditional lifetime warranty on all their optics. Best warranty in the biz!
Ordered this PST after I missed the same deal on Thanksgiving. Got concerned after ordering and reading all of the hate about Cabelas. Kept waiting for mine to be cancelled....UPS just delivered. Sorry for everyone's problems, but I had smooth sailing.
After reading your comments, I thought to myself "i've never had a problem with Cabelas?!", and decided NOT to call customer care questioning the deal. This morning, UPS delivered my new Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 EBR-1 !!! :) Woot Woooooot!
I am currently trying that with another item. Around 2am or so this morning, there was a more expensive scope marked down even lower, and it was only up for about a hour. When adding the item to cart, it would add it at regular price. So I called in the order and the operator manually processed the order and said the price was correct. 30 minutes later I checked their site and the sale price was gone. Then a few hours later they ran my credit card for the sale price. I am not even going to call and check - I will wait it out a week or two and see if I get a refund or get the scope. (I dont want to mention which item it was just yet because I dont want anyone to call in crying and possibly ruin it for me). I will say that a few months back I got (2) $800 vortex scopes for $360 from Cabelas and they shipped them to me and they were never-opened mint product. Crossing my fingers on this one from today... if they dont ship it because it was a mistake, sure I will be disappointed, but I wont be mad.
Not falling for a bait and switch scam, this one being on customer returns on these vortex's. They did it to me on this same scope two months ago at this price. They said it was a bargain cave deal, which includes customer returns. I was pissed when i didnt recieve a brand new scope. Cabelas does shady shit, it funny how just now it was truely exposed with the M223 scam, which also some people remember the 2014 nikon scope scam. I speak with my wallet to, as do we all. Fuck shadyass cabela's.
Since cabela's canceled my last optic order because it was too good of a deal, I just called them to cancel my order for this scope and a Leupold VX-2. I'll give my $750 to Amazon instead.

had way too many bad experiences with geardos working behind the counter. if there is a "deal" to be had, they hoard it with their buddy's. talking to a manager, that has better things to do, is a necessity with this company. too many unethical people working there. I love their prices but hate their people.
After M-223 incident, I will not buy anything from Cebela's again.
This is "gun.deals" deal, not "CANCELYOURORDER" deal.
A mistake is fine. But refund just as quickly or before you send me cancellation message. Ask if the rest of order should be shipped as one may not need scope rings for the scope you just cancelled on me due to your mistake.
That sucks, but at the same time, if you call them I'm sure they will refund the return shipping on the scope rings. Happened to me with an order from JC Penney. Cabelas has always bent over backwards for me on small stuff like that.
Oh my. You guys are really butt hurt! I ordered several of the Nikon scopes as well that were accidentally marked as 70% off. They got cancelled as well...somebody made a price mistake, it's not a big deal, get over it! All this after you spent a day with your family "being thankful".
Even Dicks is better than Cabelas. False advertising, bait and switch and non responsive customer inquires, coupled with blow off tactics is piss poor business practice. Collect your orders, attach the rude mass email distribution they sent us and contact any local news outlet where a current cabela's store (by you). A simple email sent and news outlets, like CBS locals has an "on your side segment". If Cabelas wants to pull this, let share for the world. Let the facts speak. Refer to their customer service creed. Laugh at thei very negative social meaning feedback on instagram, facebook, etc. brutual PR.

They are just taking in new customer data for their mail out list. Maybe they will then turn around and sell your data to third parties. New CrApBELAS biz enterprise!
Just called customer service about my orders being canceled. They don't care and put you on "hold" which disconnects your call.
cabelas is the king of bait and switch.....or bait and cancel....either way, i'm done spending my hard earned dollars at a retailer that plays these games. I'm pleased to see that i am not the ONLY one that is done spending money with this ethics challenged company. just another DICK'S....... I'm done with em!

Cabelas can take their phony "sales" and stick them wherever they will fit. Bait and switch, or just bait and cancel appears to be the new company business practice.
