The Magpul CTR is a collection of buttstocks and compatible accessories designed to make the operating of carbines easier and safer.
The Magpul CTR (compact/type restricted) is a buttstock replacement device that comes both in military and commercial specification models. It is designed for a firmer weapon grip and is very light and practical. It is compatible with AR15/M16 carbines and uses either military of commercial spec receiver extension tubes. It has a typical a-frame shape when seen from the side, which helps avoid snagging and protects the release latch so that accidental activation is made impossible. The stock is extremely stable thanks to an advanced friction lock system used supplementary on the device.
It also features a QD sling mount compatible with most types of push-button sling swivels. The rubber butt pad which is included is a standard 0.30 inch and helps avoid the weapon from slipping off armor or other smooth equipment used. Magpul also offers an amazing enhanced rubber butt pad, for even more stability and security, which can be ordered separately.
