There is no reason at all to buy this rifle ! I'll take rugged proven reliability any day over looks and really this riffle is yet to be proven. For the price point There are many other proven options avail. Just my 2 cents though.
Is this worth double the century ones?
I see the century version sell for as low as $499.

I own the V93 with the collapsible stock. I really like this rifle and I've had zero issues with it since I purchased it over a year ago. I paid more than $979 for mine though. The fit and finish on the rifle on my rifle is superb, I've used a Century Version and it's a decent gun and it ran well with no issues.
I have a Century version. And while it runs fine (went through two others in store with a spacer gauge to get one with a good bolt gap), it is a far cry from the Vectors that I have come across in the past.
If your LGS will let you check bolt gap before you buy, the cheap Century models can be okay. The workmanship that Vector put into their builds was far and above, however. Like Arsenal/FIME each to their own though. I like my little Century well enough, don't get me wrong.
The promag 30 and 40 round magazine work fine in these guns. $12 for the 30 rounders at CTD and $17 for the 40 rounders at Midway.
