I bought this from them a few weeks ago when they first advertised the deal at $450. They shipped priority mail the next day. I have the Aimpoint H1 and I prefer the 25mm lens over the 20mm lens on the H1. If you need absolute minimal weight, go with the H1. My H1 is currently on my Benelli M4. Also the front lens on this is installed at an angle on purpose by Trijicon and it isn't a defect. The angle is meant to reduce glare.

the reviews for this on amazon are bad

The people complaining are most likely gun noobs. The glass on a MRO is akin to the glass on a RMR. And that glass is as good as it gets, and bomb proof to boot.

RMR's are the best micro sight made, they have no competition, and the glass they use on the RMR's and MRO's is also high quality. The people complaining most likely have never looked down an RMR.

The MRO is a great product.

Not to nit-pick but every Amazon review that shows 'Verified' gave it 5-stars. The only bad reviews on it were from people who didn't buy through amazon, so they could be anyone/company.

That said, I know there are definitely issues on these.

There are NO issues on these. Some people are complaining thinking it is magnified but a way to prove there is no magnification is the unlimited eye relief. Put it anywhere on the rail and you will still be able to pickup the dot. The glass is the same high quality glass they use on the ACOG, no one is used to looking through that type of glass on a red dot because the other manufacturer uses a significantly cheaper quality lens

Other red dot manufacturers are attempting to slander the MRO in any way they can because they are afraid of it and aren't happy about finally having a REAL competitor who brings more to the table at less cost.

I have to agree, bought one over the holidays and it's really nice.

It replaced an Eotech, naturally I sold the Eotech a week before Eotechs announcement. I could have returned it for what I paid, had I not sold it days earlier.

That Eotech buy back is a bit goofy, living in Florida I don't see myself using an Eotech in -20*f The guy I sold it to I contacted him just so he was aware of Eotechs news, but he loves it, and keeping it.

I was getting a MRO regardless....

I really liked that Eotech, but I like this MRO more. I would prefer a 4MOA dot as my eyes are aging, but even as is it was worth upgrading.

PS, Like ArmsUnlimited stated; people are complaining because their unaccustomed to good glass on a red dot. I own two RMR's and very familiar with Trijicon glass, and the MRO glass is an asset, not a detraction.

IMHO the people complaining are gun noobs and have no clue and probably get bent out of shape if their AR gets scratched.

As always Sam, thanks for the info. You're one of a few posters on SG that I actually feel I can trust.

^THIS^. Have you looked through an Aimpoint T1? As soon as I can afford the MRO, I'll add it to the T1 already here.
