Hahaha could not agree more!!! Although I like the Holosun with dot in circle but love vortex and the strike eagle on my 300 blkout. Not need to spend almost a thousand dollars on a simple red dot with all the solid options available now days. Samething with AR's. I keep seeing a Daniel Defense on SG for $1400 with all milspec hardware. Crazy as I just picked up a Head Down PV 13 with top of line upgrades, warranty for life, and guaranteed sub MOA for $950. I'm talking Geisel trigger, raptor charging handle, the works. Again, there are so many options available wasting money on overpriced gear is crazy unless you have money to burn. Now if I was heading to Iraq for 3 years don't get me wrong as I might spend the money for a aim point as they are industruable. But for my light weekend use don't need it... Just my 2 cents. Although I did just pick up an EOTECH 518 with QD for $379 but I've wanted one since I was a kid... So I guess that contradicts everything I just said;). But 379 much different than 800.....

Yeah, I did just fine with a basic M-16 and an M-203 on it in the Army with a lowly 2-point sling. Gee, how did we survive without all of the add-ons these days, that likely will never be needed.
