The BackTrack G2 is small enough to fit in your pocket and powered by 2 AAA batteries, but it can provide up to 20 hours of use so you don’t have to worry about getting lost while you’re out exploring.
Never Get Lost Again
The BackTrack G2 combines a high sensitivity GPS unit with a self-calibrating compass to provide you with directions back to any destination you mark in its memory. You can mark up to three locations as your return destination and, once you’re done hiking, biking, hunting or exploring, the device will guide you back to your starting point. The G2 is powered by 2 AAA batteries which provide up to 20 hours of use and there’s a battery strength indicator on the LCD display so you can monitor how much longer the device will work for, too.
Extremely Easy to Use
In order to provide an uncomplicated user experience, the BackTrack G2 is designed with just two buttons. One button turns the unit on and off while the other one marks your location and allows you to select which saved marker you’d like directions back to. To operate the device, simply push the Mark button when you’re standing in the location you want to return to. You can then turn the device off to conserve battery power. When you’re done exploring and want to return to your starting point, power the G2 up, wait for it to connect to a satellite and select your return point from the menu. The device will then give you the distance back as well as easy-to-follow arrow-based directions. Its minimalist design makes it easy to operate if you’re lost or disoriented and just want to get back to your car or hotel.
