I realized for a hobby rifle, iron sight = fail
I am so regretting that I got a colt Le6920 with an iron sight.

What is a hobby rifle? If you can't shoot this gun with iron sights accurately then you can't shoot it properly.

How much to turn this into a flat top? Not a big fan of the shark fin front sight.

It is a flat top, the rear sight is removable. Please do more research and take a rifle class before purchasing. No knowledge = a danger to yourself and others.

I did this to my Saint. I replaced it with a gas block that has milspec rail. Maybe $25 for the gas block if you get a gunsmith probably another $125. Really simple to do and took very little time if you’re comfortable doing the work yourself. Make sure you get all in line

Pretty much built every single part of this gun except the litter and upper, never malfunctioned ! Ruger is amazing highly recommend! Might just get a second one because I have a vortex sparc 2 red dot that I don't use lol

Just purchased this as my first AR a month ago(@ $479) and couldn't be happier! Many rounds through it and no issues! New to the AR world and completely addicted! Can't wait to customize it! Anyone that has any advice,as far as what this gun needs to perform even better, for me would be greatly appreciated.

Add a better iron sight like a troy or even a milspec carry handle sight. Proactice your marlsmanship with iron sights before you get a red dot. Red dots don't last forever, and if you can't soot with iron sights then what? An entry level red dot you can go with is dagger defense and it co-witnesses perfectly with that magpul iron sight. I tried the dagger, its cheap but it works and keeps 0.

Out of the box, you picked a great rifle already. You could keep it as is, and just practice more to make yourself preform even better.

1. I'm not a fan of the mil-spec trigger, I have a RR 2-stage. (Most people hate Rock River now for political reasons)
2. Extended take down pins, especially if you intend to use multiple uppers.
3. BAD lever. Some love them, some hate them.
4. A light. Not a laser, a light.
5. More mags for more fun. I love Lancer translucent smoke mags, but there are so many fantastic magazine options it's hard to go wrong.

6* When you get better with Iron Sights, consider an optic. Optics can be a big expensive investment. Go forth and play with a ton of them, hands on, before you start thinking about red dot or illuminated reticle or fixed power scope or variable power scope or......
