If this is better than their abysmal copy of the Beretta 92FS.. then ok.. If not.. save your money avoid this manufacturer. Here is a 22LR that you'll be happy with (vendor link but just so you see what I'm pointing to) http://www.cdnnsports.com/gsg-1911-22lr-5-3dot-sgts-ambi-saf-faux-wood-1-10.html...

I own this one and its heavier than most 22's but lighter than a real 1911.. but it's a tack driver.

I agree. I played with this chiappa at local hardware store and it felt cheap,I got the gsg 1911-22 instead, also from cdnn, and love it, accurate as hell, ultra easy to put a suppressor on, adapters are really easy to find, extra mags are easy to find, but run $30 +/-

Couldn't agree more. IMO, the Chiappa (and Sig) is a very, very distant 3rd in the 1911-22 clone game (GSG 1st, Colt 2nd). Although the Colt doesn't break down like a typical 1911, mine is well built and a good shooter. As for the GSG, it is hands down the best 1911-22 clone I've shot, excluding a handful of custom 1911-22's available that come with a 4 digit price tag. If you're looking to take your GSG to the next level, you may want to take a look at some of the options available from CW Accessories. I would highly recommend one of the Shooter Special kits.

I love the GSG 1911-22 also but you do realize that the Sig 1911-11 is just a rebranded GSG right?

Haven't shot the colt but I would love to give it a spin.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, the Sig 1911-22 is a re-branded GSG. For some reason I was thinking it was a Chiappa. Glad I was wrong!!!
