Just got one today.
Haven't tried it out yet but 1st impressions, seems nice for what I paid.
A 1k 1911 is better but I also enjoy the old school look of RIA.

Pay just a bit more for the tactical model that has the skeleton trigger and hammer, ambi safety, etc. and you'll get the better sights too.
These have really good triggers for the money and they take GI parts like they should. Best bang for the buck 1911 there is.

It’s a good pistol, and it’s reliable but the fit and finish could be better, but you have to take into consideration the price point

Any good reviews of it? Comes with just 1 mag right?

Rock Islands have a very good reputation. The only people who like to criticize it are those that paid 3 times more for their 1911's. AKA gun snobs. YouTube has many reviews and in depth gun breakdowns, upgrades and shooting vids.

Yes 1 magazine.

A google search of "Armscor Rock Island Armory 54121" doesn't bring back much. These RIA's are all reliable, good guns for the most part. And they stand behind them.

Ever see a 1911 with GI sights? GI sights suck. I'd recommend something with at least a step up in sights no matter what brand you decide. Unless you can install them yourself, a basic set of 3-dot sights installed will run you close to another $100. Just a thought.

If you want Novak sights, get the tactical model but Armscor's Novak dovetail isn't standard either. Unless you're shooting competition (which is not what these guns are intended for) you should be learning to instinctively point and shoot a .45 with the sights playing a minimal role in point of impact. With that being said, these sights can be improved upon with just a little white paint, nail polish or white out type of material if need be. But in my opinion, instinctively pointing and shooting is the training goal with these guns.

Best 1911 for the money. Lifetime warranty. Good customer service.

Warranty travels with the gun too....meaning whomever owns the gun in the future will have a full warranty. Good resale point.
