Colt continues to take its battle and time proven M1911 pistol and adapt it to meet the changing requirements of its customers with its Close Quarter Battle Pistol. Where quality and workmanship are demanded, Colt once again meets and exceeds the expectations of its customers. This handgun is outfitted with new and exciting features. The Picatinny Rail offers the versatility to adapt tactical light and laser accessories to the receiver of the CQBP, making it a tactical pistol easily adaptable to any military.

More than 100 years ago, the Colt 1911 was chosen as the official sidearm for America’s Armed Forces. Today, a Colt 1911 is once again proudly serving at the side of our country’s military. After a rigorous selection process, the United States Marine Corps selected the Colt Rail Gun as their Close Quarters Battle Pistol (CQBP). This marks the first time since the end of World War II that a Colt 1911 is being shipped to the United States Government.

To honor the brave men and women of this important staple of America’s military might, the Colt CQBP will be made available in limited quantities. What makes the CQBP stand out is its Desert Tan Cerakoted Stainless Steel Receiver and Slide, Novak® 3 Dot Night Sights and Flat, Serrated Mainspring Housing with Lanyard Loop. The pistol also features an Enhanced Hammer, Colt Tactical Ambidextrous Safety Lock, and a 5” National Match® Barrel.

Garbage firearm. Stay away. Got issued one in 2013... by 2015 all main springs and (cant remember other part) had to be replaced in every single one due to rusting out and causing failures. Cerakote was too heavily applied causing extensive break-in period. Thumb safety is uncomfortable. Grip bushing work their way loose easier than any other 1911 I've seen. And worst of all, series 80 firing system... the unnecessary solution to a problem that never exisited. Privately, I own a small firearm business and have worked on many 1911s and ARs. Colt's QC is terrible. I would never own a Colt manufactured in the last two decades.

This was the brother-in-law contract pistol they sold USMC MARSOC. The one that had frame cracking issues in the test. Then a few years later dumped for the fugly G19. Nothing like flushing our tax dollars down the colt drain.

Colt is circling the toilet drain like the dead gold fish that your parents told you had escaped. Uncle Sam wasted money on these and Colt is trying to make them "special" in a good way.

This gun had been 2 grand last year, you would think they could checker the front strap, for this amount.

Even 1450 is way too much... what are they doing to it, over a 500 turkish or phillipino 1911? You would think that the low range guns to do all the same add-ons/ improvements... and come out at 700...

PS: Add a laser under that barrel ( hell even in the guide rod!). And make some 10 rnd extended magazines with pinky rest... hard to compete with 13 rnd .45's from other good companies.

Ya... and one of those plastic clam shell frame addons. Lol.

It's a 1911. Stop trying to make it compete with modern guns or you'll just end up with something still-obsolete and gimmicky.

This is a great gun. Purchased it at a local shop for $1050 due to the clerk giving too much of a discount. Got $400 off instead of $40. It's a great built gun and shoots great. Would highly recommend.

I've had this gun for a couple months now and love it. It's built extremely well and is very accurate. Colt built another fine 1911.

No just check the Web site for information. Just requires a click on the advertisers Web site for the actual information. I was interested in this particular gun so I looked at the website before posting comments.

You seem to not understand what I'm trying to say so I'll say it again. This one is the new ionbond finish while the post you are referring to is cerakote. You seem to not understand why someone would avoid the colt cerakote m45a1 due to bad reviews on the quality of its finish. Only cerakote model you should buy is the custom shop pelican case ones because of its rarity and usmc badge. My main gripe with your post was first you made a statement about how this post was cerakote without even checking out the website. Then you went on to insult cerakote and make more dumb statements about a product you clearly know so little about. First amendment gives you the right to say what you want....and I have the same right to call your post low information lazy spam.

Until they recently updated the description did it say cerakote or not? Should we disregard all adds on here as false?

Are you forgetting this isn't a product review site? Clearly the gun is 260 under msrp and a good deal to anyone that has been interested in top of the line colt 1911. If a stronger better and more durble coat is not what you like then that is your opinion. Remember this is gun.deals not 1911 forums.

This isn't a product review site? I've read a whole lot of friggin reviews on here in regards to dealers AND products. So in your mind....we are only allowed to comment on the price? Jesus...I've been here for awhile and that's news to me. But...since I found a price for $40 less can I comment now....please? https://gun.deals/product/colt-marine-cqbp-m45-a1-45acp-5-barrel-71-novak-cerakote-desert-tan-139900?view=list...
No offense to ArmsLimited.... And low and behold....what does it say the finish is in the product description? Damn, another place says Cerakote, where would I have gotten that idea? Just wondering, are positive comments about products ok in your world? Or will you go after those people too? Some guy on here said its a great gun and it's smooth shooting. You should censor him as well.

On the site it says ion bond if your not going to bother looking at the product why comment? I been looking for a good deal on this gun for a long time and I jumped on it at 7 am this morning. Good post

Ionic Bond schmionic bond. My original comment still stands. A $1500 gun without the attention to detail of deep bluing or a high polished stainless doesn't show the craftsmanship that I'm looking for when I drop that much on a Colt. As I said before, pay less for a Colt with the same specs and a more attractive finish. I have looked at this product many times and I have always thought it was overpriced...if it still came in the Pelican Case and had the Marine stamp it might be worth a bit more than their standard rail gun for $1100..... But go ahead and lay a few hundred more for the hype.

I've been fortunate enough to shoot one of these. I've never shot a .45 as smooth or accurate as this gun. Ever.

If I had the money, I'd have one of them in my safe. Beautiful gun with excellent characteristics and at least the one is shot, had superb accuracy at 15yds.

$1500 and more for Cerakote. No attention to bluing or brushing stainless. Go buy a can of spray on bed liner for your pick up and blast away at a $700 Colt with a match barrel. Or just buy their rail gun for 400 less if you want the rail.

It is not Cerakoted, it is ION BONDED. Try that at home...

" Desert Tan Cerakoted Stainless Steel Receiver and Slide " Why does your write up on it use the term " CERAKOTED " if it's not? If I'm paying that much, rather not have just a Mil-Spec 1911.

Slick guns pulls the data, click the link and go to our site you will see the real specifications

Ion bonding is where they charge the coating being sprayed with a positive charge, aka "Ion" and the item to be coated/painted negative the coating is pulled to the part for nice equal thickness coating. Ion coating is powder coating. Thanks, I think I'll do that once I have something engraved once it's approved and before the stamp shows up.

I noticed you have a full auto BAR, very cool rare firearm. If I hit Lotto, can I get free shipping on it?

You don't post the data for your own dealer postings? It doesn't work that way when I create a listing. Can you keep gun.deals from mis representing your products?

If you didn't realize that 99.9% of the "deals" are posted by PAID employees of Slick____.Com I believe they work from home. They have a few sites. They use crawler programs to scan for "deals" to post. I am sure they charge dealers/companies to scan their sites, or the company pays for each time we click on their "deal" and go to their site via gun.deals. I'm sure they don't like it when someone pulls back the curtain and the Wizard of Oz is exposed. " engine that finds the cheapest gun deals from all merchants who are participating in our price comparison section.
These products are significantly cheaper compared to other merchants. Check them out, you might find some great deals that are not listed on gun.deals. This page updates every 3 hours. (Bud's Gun Shop prices represent their minimum "Price Match Request" price they accept."

And my guess Slick____.com is really an Amazon company as their websites are hosted on Amazon servers, but then again even Uncle Sammy leases IT storeage and servers from them. And NO I do not work for any company, a key strokes, followed the yellow brick road.

And just cause Uncle Sam's Misguided Children decided on this does not mean it's the best, it means that Colt submitted the lowest bid not the best product. Welcome to Mil-Spec. Who's make our M4's now, it's NOT Colt ;) At this price point I would have to consider a Dan Wesson, then again I've seen enough tan things.

I've realized that it's often the same names that do all the postings. I'm just not all too computer literate to see the big picture of how it works. Buds prices can change on certain items every 10 minutes. its been very rewarding for me to check there frequently. For a few moments a Ruger 77/44 was $305. I've gotten lucky on several guns there.

A past life I learned the world is not as it always appears, looking behind the curtain is always interesting. I would love to go behind the curtain at Disney World. I've scored a Mossberg MVP for an insane low price, my guess it was at distributor cost, and within minutes it was changed. But I waited and it was shipped, I was expecting for the order to be cancelled. So it's not a bad setup, but I think they should be more honest about who is posting vice claiming it's just anyone finding a good deal, a bit deceptive, and I'm pretty sure they use bots for the thumbs up, like JokerSaver has over 4000 thumbs up and I think 4 down, he sure does love ALL the deals. That is illegal under FTC rules, being paid to promote a product without full disclosure of receiving money or something of value in exchange. Read the "reviews" on Amazon about cheap junk products, they have a blurb in there about 'DEEP DISCOUNT" for a "honest" review, yea right. About a year ago, they dropped the slimey Amazon PRIME push after I pointed out FTC stance and how they went after one company for similar deception. They did a global change removing/replacing the wording in ALL the ads.

As for this vendor, he does have one VERY interesting firearm. I need to hit the Lotto. https://www.armsunlimited.com/Colt-BAR-Model-R75A-30-06-Light-Machine-Gun-p/ft-r75a.htm...

Arms unlimited has some great deals on Colt ARs too. I think they had the las of the piston driven Colts at a pretty fair price. I think it was them...but I could be wrong, that had two sequential serial number full auto MP5's. They were only a mere 50k.

That was us, a high roller picked those 2 up from us. They were in perfect condition was sad to see them go

A while back they had the best price for a Tavor by about $50.

Full auto MP5s naughty identical German twins. Must buy Lotto tickets. The 6 plus months of waiting for the stamp, Oh, buy house there, take an employee to range for fun and buy them lunch! My local class III is getting fat from free lunches while I wait and wait and wait.....

Looks like a price change was made. $1600 shipped is now a little under MSRP. That's better than the initial "deal" which was $1750 - well over MSRP.

This is definitely not a deal. The MSRP for sku O1070M45 is $1620, not $2000. $2000 is for sku O1070CQB, which is a Colt custom shop gun. Sku O1070M45 (the one posted here) is nearly identical to the ones made for the USMC. Mrgundealer had this gun recently for $1529, but not sure if they are in stock any more.
