See this video of a house wife fighting off a home invasion by three thugs with her hi point carbine:

I loved my highpoint carbine in .40 except the front rail is not a standard 1913 style. Also, the trigger would pinch my finger when I shot it. Never had that issue with any other firearm. Otherwise, It went through over 1000 rounds of various ammo without one issue and was surprisingly accurate I would have kept it if it didn't rip the skin off my finger after 100 or so rounds.

Surprised SG didn't call it "military issue" like half the other stuff they lie about.

I own 2 hi points...most of the people that bad mouth them don't own one...excellent value...100 per cent AMERICAN MADE...life time guarantee...you can't go wrong!!! (And a fun gun to shoot)

A lot of people don't own them because they afford to buy actual quality firearms.

It is so much fun to go to the range and lay down my $4,000 1911 and pull out my $200 High Point and be just as accurate...that includes my $86, hi point C9

These are awesome little carbines, especially for the price. The only hipoint I'd ever own. Accurate as possible for pistol calibers, fun to shoot and ultra reliable. Eat any type of ammo. Yes the mag size is an issue but I do know there's a company developing an aftermarket drum for these. Also "redball" makes a double capacity mag. They are butt ugly but work and give you twice the amount of rounds. Also a really nice aftermarket bullpup chassis and stock system is almost ready for sale by high tower armory (who makes some badass 10/22 mags and parts)Just like a 10/22 everyone should have one of these in the safe!

Yea, all goodreviews for this gun, but that damn capacity.

Got the Sub2k with the G19 (not 17) grip. The too damn convenient with the mags.

Is it just me or is anyone else baffled that they haven't updated this design after all these years to take a reasonable sized magazine? It would be a very simple design change.
I realize they designed all their stuff during the Clintard ban, but it's been 13 years.
They would sell TONS more of these if they altered the design to take double stack mags, even if they were proprietary. I would love one of these but will never spend the money due to the weakness of capacity. And I'm not settling on two mags welded together on top of each other that stick comically far down out of the grip (redball sports mag)

Hold on to your cash, 10mm version is on the way

That would ruin the idea of a cheap pistol carbine

Do these come in any other stock options? I wouldn’t mind a cheap 9mm version, but that stock is fugly.

This is the updated "cool" stock. I have one of the originals. Looks like a very odd duck but shoots great.

I own one of these in 9mm as well as this one, 4095. Lots of fun at the range. Consistent conversation starter with other shooters. Competed a couple of time in PCC events with the 995ts. There were some issues, but nothing that affected performance/score. Didn't win or come close to winning any competition, but that's me not the firearm. Furthest distance was 50 yards. In that range, with a red dot and my ability, works well. I want to get the 4595 someday. These are a bargain, with lots of mods for rails and other accessories available.

I have the one in 9mm I really enjoy it, it fills a particular spot for me, it is my handgun caliber carbine. Don't need to buy another... Except perhaps one that takes glock mags as stated by a couple folks already. Capacity jumps to 17 or 33 or drop in a 50 round drum mag for one of those :)

Here's a hi-cap mag for you: http://redballsports.net/products.html...

There's vid on YT where it was tested and ran well.

Yea, I jumped on the Sub 2000 for $399 a while back. Sold my S&W 40sve and got a glock 22. I can use those 32 rnd mags with both guns now. Couldn't do it if I had jumped on a High Point.

There's 15rd mags from promag, gotta shave down the plastic ramp on it a bit for it to work flawlessly though.

I would jump on this, but the 10 rnd clip holds me back. Any bigger aftermarket magazines out there????

hickok45 likes it ,but I bought the Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Gen-2 just because it's compatible with my glock mags (17).

bought one last year and it was solid. Traded it and actually missed the fugly thing. Bought another and won't trade it. Good American-made guns.
