For the price, I can rest a little easier knowing my firearms are locked up tight. It was a bit of work to drill out the back plate to get a lag into a stud in the back wall. There are pre-drilled holes but I couldn't get them to line up with a stud because of how I placed the safe in my closet. If I had to do it over again, I'd get the electronic lock. This old school combo dial can be tedious, don't count on getting it open in an emergency. That said, I feel confident that thieves won't be able to get into this safe without spending a considerable amount of time and some heavy tools. Make sure to anchor this baby down, they can simply carry it off if you don't.

Stack on makes junk safes. They are just there to keep honest people honest. Anyone with hand tools can get into one in 5 minutes or less. They are basically sheet metal. If you have the misfortune of being around one, push it up on a corner. The entire thing flexes because of how cheap it is.

You may find it worth your investment to spend $50 more and get a fire rated safe.
