Description Diamondback Firearms is proud to present the DB380, a micro compact .380 automatic pistol made entirely in the USA. Designed with safety in mind, the DB380 features a "Zero-Energy" striker firing system (patent pending) with a mechanical firing pin block, a stainless steel magazine catch to secure a sheet metal magazine, and real windage adjustable sights, all in a lightweight pistol. a steel trigger with dual connecting bars allows for a crisp, smooth, five pound DAO trigger pull. The DB380 features a FEA (Finite Element Analysis) designed slide and barrel that is stronger than any comparable firearm, resulting in durability with less felt recoil, and the absence of removable pins or tools makes field stripping easier than ever. The slide barrel and internal parts are all hard coated to resist corrosion, making this pistol a lifetime investment.

I just got one.... from Woodbury Outfitters. They sent one with an obviously blemished slide, their Customer service sucked and they wouldn't do anything after sending them pictures of all the flaws on the slide after I cleaned the wrapping paper grease or oil off of it.Had incomplete plating or finish and a stain on one side that looked like someone had dripped something caustic on it. Diamondback is sending a new slide after sending them the same pictures. Other than all the BS with that, I really like the feel of it, the trigger is really smooth with a decent break on it. I bought it knowing that there was some reviews with the FTF issue, but I'm going to polish the feed and find the right ammo.

It's been decent for me.

Most of the negative reviews were with the pre-lawsuit, Gen 1. The differences have been better with the Gen 2 I shot from Centerfire a year ago. If you run hollow points, especially ones with a media-blocking tip like Hornady's CD) you will get FTFs a lot. This mostly has to do with the steep angle of the projectile and how it tilts when being discharged from the mag and chambered. I rec'd a round like Underwood or Leigh Defense XP or even the new Ruger ARX +p, I think they are called. You'll want the +p to ensure proper burn time from this shorty barrel with any of these rounds. The ammo above is niether FMJ OR JHP, but sort of, "ballistically speaking," a hybrid.

Do your own research, but after I switched to one of the above ammos, all FTFs became a thing of the past.

I just bought a box of the Hornady CD and haven't fired mine yet. Guess I'll have to see how many FTF's I get out of a box of fifty. Figured I'd have to find self a defense round that would work consistently. Says the +p rounds voids the warranty though in their handbook....

Good price. But is it a good gun? Guess you wouldnt be out much if its junk. Im over the micro gun craze.

I've read some bad reviews(Buds) for these guns but the ones that get a good one say it's sweet...

Does anyone own and have a good deal of experience with the DB380 or the DB9? I've read good and bad things about Diamondback, which makes me question buying a DB9 as a carry pistol. I have to say though that the DB9 has an amazing feel to it, much better than the LCP or Bodyguard, and it's not much bigger than either of them.

I've also heard mixed reviews..

For this price it's tempting though, I've heard it's got a pretty good grip/trigger for a subcompact 380, but for an EDC the "questionable" reliability does make me a little hesitant.
A laser is also a must [for me] on a pocket gun and the only lasers for this are $100+ lol.. couldn't bring myself to pay more for my laser than my gun.
