Not much difference between this and the girsan either. Except the girsan is about 60 bucks less

These are literally no different than the Beretta 92. As others have said, Taurus is Beretta now. Many companies have merged over the past 15 years and Taurus bought a few of them and all the equipment and tooling, etc. These are great guns, probably one of the top 5 that Taurus put out.

a) It's a good shooter.
b) It's large. Large to carry and large grip. Not really heavy though, it's between a lightweight Commander 1911 and a steel Govt 1911.
c) The few I've shot were crazy accurate. And smooth-slick controls, slide, and trigger. They've also been reliable (unlike a few other Tauri I've crossed paths with.)
d) With the safety on the frame, it's handled like a 1911...cocked and locked. It does great at this. If you use the DA trigger, it's a long pull, but cocked and locked is where it's at with this gun.
e) It's not a Beretta 92 "knock-off"...it was a Beretta 92 at one time. Beretta had a factory in Brazil - later sold it to Taurus (parts, tools, employees, etc.). After that time, the Taurus and Beretta designs got more different. Most of the changes on the Beretta side.

This is one that Taurus got right. Only weak part is the mags. Some minor dremmel work on the mag. release botton and it works with the Beretta 92 mags. I have 2 of them, this and all black, love them both more than my Beretta 92. These can be carried locked and loaded.

Yep, Taurus bought Beretta's factory in Brazil and even rehired some of the old workers.

I have the Blued version of this and have had no issues. Put over 4,000 rounds and only have had 4 jams and 10 FTF.
