Is this good deal if you factor in a $30 FFL transfer fee?
Well the 25 round mags cost 25 dollars (+ shipping) each on a good day online and my local Gander Mountain sells them for 44.99 so maybe if you factor in that. I personally do not like the 25 round magazines in this gun being they are in my opinion very unreliable. I had two back to back from different stores. Could have been a bad batch but I just bought a few 10 rounders and kept rolling. A lot of Walmarts sell the 10 round version (no flash hider) for 110+tax.
purchased mine from Walmart.. if possible in your area do so $99 + 5 bkgd + tax $115 ... as for the 25 rd mag... I took it apart cleaned, lubed and performs well now.. Led rounds in this rifle are not recommended... I combined this rifle with a barska my sweet 22 scope... We went shot for shot @ 100yds against my buddies ruger 10/22 .. couldn't tell the difference..
